If you don't want to spend a fortune but want short term or long term protection for your seats especially if you sweat after running, biking or going to the beach you should check this seatcover out. I just got one and it fits the 8 quite well.

I'm definately in the market for something like that! I've been using a towel ever since I got my 8, and have even had to use my windshield shade as a little extra protection barrier (forgot the towel once). Quite a sight...

We purchased the pair of seat covers from Mazda, pricy, but worth the protection for everyday driving. The Mazda description claims grey inserts on black, but ours turned out to be all black neopreme.

Are they Mazda covers waterproof as the other covers mentioned above?

come on they are Mazda covers probably about $300

I wouldnever allow any type of animal into my Rx8 not evena midget sized chihuahua man. Youmight be able to protect the seats butthe moldings will most likelyhave scratches everywhere unlessyou are theowner of a rare animal that can actually sit still ina compact sports car.

My dogs all HATE to ride in the car so they just sit there and look depressed.
