Ok ppl i know we all want it...... the UK rear spoiler but in a cheaper form! ;)

Im currently in communication with Spoilerdepot to explore the possibilities of them doing us the UK spoiler.

I will be in charge of all the communication with them to set up a possible group buy so before we jump any guns here i need you guys who are DEFINATELY interested to get this if SpoilerDepot does make it.

The more ppl we get in this the higher possibility they will consider this project!

This is assuming the spoiler will be comparably priced with the factory spoiler, and come PAINTED.

I would be interested as alot of others in our tri-state club. Although I think $200 - 250 is quite overpriced considering the US stock spoiler runs for $180 - 229 on ebay and has more weight/material etc.

the US stock spoilers on EBAY is from SpoilerDepot also.

and my guess of 200-250 is just an estimate based on the spoilers selling on EBAY.

No confirmation on prices yet, this is just my rough ballpark figure and it is to gauge interest.

As my sig says... I don't own an 8 yet, but I am planning on getting one within in a year and at that time I definitely want the UK lip spoiler. So I may not group buy now, but I would in the future. I dunno if that helps any...

The R-Magic one is OK... but I think the UK one gives the cleaner look like the BMW M3 (and 3-series sport models in Japan). The Ings is pretty cool, but still not as clean looking...

As some others have said, if the price were a little lower it'd be a definately. But I'm a strong maybe.

Not interested ... for two reasons:

1. There is a chance MAZDA will release the euro spoiler in the US for 05, a slight chance, but a chance none-the-less.

2. If they don't, I've already picked up two euro spoilers that I am modifying and sending to production for release here in States

You, of course, can pursue the SpoilerDepot solution, but you might want to consider waiting a bit longer. You might find a better solution just around the corner from either MAZDA ... or me :-)

I hate to talk futures, and I know how this crowd can be, so it's a no win situation. All I'll say is I'm working on an "enhanced" euro-spoiler that will be available in factory colors in the not-so-distant future. It will be reasonably priced, of high quality and therefore a good value.

I won't talk price specifics, I won't talk about ANY specifics. I was torn as to whether to say anything at all ... but I guess I decided I would. The sole purpose is to let you make a more informed decision, and avoid the inevitable "I wish I had known."

As for those who would compare the current U.S. "grab handle" spoiler to the euro and attempt to quantify price based on weight/materials, you simply have to look at the difference between a "handle" that attaches in two places and a lip that must follow a very complex trunk surface. One is easy .. the other, if done well, is a bit more "challenging". There is much more to price than weight and materials.

Needless to say, when I really have something to offer, this forum will be the first to know, and in accordance with the rules established herein regarding vendors.

Hey Derwankle, it's cool....some people don't want to wait for an unsure thing, and in my case...I don't want an "enhanced" euro spoiler....I want the Euro spoiler or an exact replica of it....

Body color is nice, but I would think not the specialty of this shop. No point in making a nice cf spoiler only to paint it. IMO.

God of Thunder... that just can't be helped. Nowhere else to get a UK lip spoiler from, so if you want one it'll be CF. If you don't want CF on your car (I hate CF accents! For weight reduction, ok, otherwise RICE!)... your only option is buy the CF piece and have it painted.

AND I don't think the majority of people who want a UK lip spoiler are interested in CF. They all want bodycolor.

Really? but is the cost $500 USD plus s&h? If so that'd be a big roadblock for people too. You can get the RMagic one for $355 shipped like leggina did...

The shop making the cf version got their UK spoiler from somewhere for less than $500. ;)

And Thew on these boards has one on the way to him right now, also less than $500.

I know the price you mentioned is not set yet but I think you would need to lower the price abit if you want more customers because for 350 + shipping.... thats abit too much i think...

like the others said getting the R-magic for 355 shipped would be a better choice....its genuine and its the real deal...

just some thoughts for you for you to take into consideration before you price it. :)

The Rmagic, while attractive, is nothing more than a design they came up with. I'm not sure would make it genuine.

Why not match or come very close to the RMagic shipped price for yours shipped? $355- $400... that's pretty attractive.

Folks, customCFshop has been doing a lot of solicitation in this thread, and he is not (yet) a paying site vendor. So until he becomes one, I've had to delete his posts on the subject. If you want to works directly with him on a lip spoiler, feel free... but we cannot let the plugs continue on this thread. Thanks.
