View Full Version : Friendly Message Board about RX8

I honestly hate to say this, I am sure there are plenty of great members on this board, but they are diluted by the pointless useless posts of the others.

That being said, I am extremely disappointed. I just got a new ride and am all excited about docter'n it up. So, I checkout this board. I am disgusted with the rude comments by its members. Who cares if some new guy wants to ask the same question that everyone else ask? We are new. You could say "look jacka$$, do your own search" alot more politely, or answer the question, or, hey, JUST DONT REPLY, let someone else that gives a fu<k.

The cars are new, the board is new. If you are going to build a lasting community, why not treat the new guy as an opportunity to do a favor for a member, instead of the oppotunity to be a SOB.

Either way, I am going to ask...is there a friendly forum about the RX8? I suppose I could do the research myself, but then what would you guys have to comment about? Certainly not exhaust mods.

Just tell me to look it up myself. Never cease to be yourself guys, it is the only way someone will be justified to give a little of it back to ya'

BTW, all of you "I wish I was a road racer" guy, look twice when you are swervin all over the road. And if you see some dude on a bike, don't try to race him. A bike (no not cruisers) is always faster. If you are trying to race some guy on a bike and jump ahead, it is because your dumba$$ nearly killed him.

I am not just talking about my original thread. My outrage is actually to some of the other posts I have read on this board.

Like I said, I am sure there are some great guys in here...somewhere, but it only takes a few bad ones to flaw the boards personaliity.

milk did your wife's body good. :p I'm just messing with you. This board is plenty friendly, and a great resource. This is the best place for all things rx8. I'm not sure what unfriendly posts you were referring to, but you can't let a few people ruin things for you. I noticed you wearing scrubs...do we have another Speed-ER Doc with us? :D

And the burning question:

What the hell is a DucGasm?

nevermind, I know what a DucGasm is now. Just saw the Ducati album and put two and two together.

Slow down... count backwards from 10... and relax.
ahhhh, better?

Sorry, but I don't know of another RX-8 forum. This is the original from what I've researched. There are a couple of small 'places' about the RX-8. Too small in my eyes to consider them a forum and are mainly country specific.
You may be stuck with us!

As they say, take people with a grain of salt! There are a lot of young people who do not know how to communicate. (There is also a lot of mental disorders, mood disorders and excess testosterone.) I like variety and find this forum to be better than people watching!

ENJOY!

DucGasm,

You are not from Alabama, are you?

Go check out any other car forum, then feel free to make your comparison.

Oh, and BTW, welcome to the Club ;)

I concur. And to top it all off, from time to time Meowloud sends us topless pictures! How's that for a perk?

There are also a lot of people who, for some reason, act completely differently when they're behind the veil of anonymity provided by the internet than they'd act in person. I don't understand this phenomenon, but it's real.

Thanks for the props on the girl and the bike.

Not ER, I am in dental school.

I am very interested in these topless pics. Assuming its a chik.

Yeah, born and bread Alabama. Graduate of UA and curently at UAB.

Sorry for the attitude, but I had sat here and read a couple of the sticky topics in the Tech/mods section. All I found was a bunch of people whining and b!tchin. Either way, I am sure there are great guys on this board, but I don't know how interested I am in sifting through here to find them.

And whatever a "llamas" is sounds like personnal probs man. If you have something to say speak in a language everyone can understand, or it is just in vain.

I'd just ignore the Llama guy. He just got his driver's license. :D Not that there's anything wrong with that, but he called me a llama in my other thread, too. So it may or may not be a compliment. But seriously, you should stick around. There's a lot of great information here, and a lot of great people. The lounge is where most of the nutjobs hang out (namely, myself), so keep that in mind. But the other forums can be very useful. This forum has saved me time and money, and it's entertaining.

There's waaay to many whiney anal guys on here....friendly? maybe...but the loudest and most frequent posters complain about everything................I admit, I do a lot of complaining to, but it's about the whiners and anal guys....

Alabama is a pretty good place all and all. I am a graduate from Auburn and some family still lives in Montgomery. So will the Tide get a football team this year? My bet is it all Tigers :)

1) You refer to your automobiles as your wife and mistress.. do you also play D&D in your basement with your clan?

2) For someone that goes to a dental school, you'd think you would know what a llama is. Rather sad education you're getting for your money.

now you gotta take what outlaws writes for a grain of salt now and again. But he is a pretty cool guy. (at least in person)

now as for mental you should have seen him back in the day with the palastine threads he started.. I think he has gotten better since.

so personally i think the forum has gotten a lot better in the past few months.

as for my history.. I lurked for a while before the car came out and it was a great forum and then when the car came out it started turning ugly. lots of trolls coming here and bashing.. etc. I think the mods are doing a fine job. The forum is looking pretty good to me.

and the lounge is the place to be if you like goofing off with all the nut jobs here. eg.. speed-er and I,Claudius/baller political threads. boy those are fun to read.

well, here is a perfect example.

1)Look kid, its called an analogy...you'll figure it out one day. And how did you go from mistress to D&D. Come on, at least invest the time to insult me with some relevant and original thinking instead of reciting something you heard on TV.
2)D&D...come on man. You don't even know what that is do you? Sorry, but I wasn't around during those days, but I bet it would have been pretty cool. Something to do that everyone thinks is gonna send you to hell...yeah, you just stick with your diluted version, Pokemon.
3)Sorry, but I am fairly certain that the Llama I know of, can't type. or, I don't speak this homemade slang.

4)Sunlight Silver AT RX-8 GT
Clear Corners
20" VTech sticker on the windshield
Debadged, replaced with Ford Emblem
Custom Yoda figure on the dash
Portable Gameboy Advance SP Gamesystem attached to the lighter socket rear, self installed

HAHAHAHA ohh my god. Tell me this is a joke. If it is it is a Riot, if you are for real...self installed gameboy....debadged...OMG that is too funny. Let me ask you, how much Horse Power do you get out of that fancy sticker?

Like every forum out there this one has it's fair share of people who think everybody else finds them funny, or who think they are somehow entitled to give the final say on anythign they want. I would suggest ignoring any post not related to what your looking for as every idiot with an opinion will express it, and usually poorly.

Duc, my post was meant to be sarcastic. That is the whole point of this thread.. you said people are jerks on this board, so I wanted to support your idea. Also my tag, OF COURSE it's real. Come on, the Vtech sticker alone adds 20hp, and the Gameboy Advance I installed myself with some glue, double stick tape, and even chinese sticky rice.

I'm still a bit weary about the dental school thing.

Btw, I'm not a kid, I'm 26... don't ASSume so much next time.

Sticks and Stones....

For some reason, certain people act in ways on-line that they wouldn't in real life. Probably because there are few consequences due the anonymity of the medium.

Stick around! I barely knew how to change my oil when I found this site, by the time I get my '8 I'm going to ASE certified (sarcasm). But do a search before opening any new threads.

Hey Ducgasm, nice website! Thinking about getting a bike too,
but going to do it right... start with a simple bike before going
crotch rocket. But as a fellow newbie myself, I lurked for a while
before joining, and there are a lot of funny intelligent people
here. But there are some that are too critical, but don't let that
get ya down bro. I don't know everyone, but I know if you really
needed help, answers, about the RX8, they will help you out.
Found some of the "search" answers to be a little harsh, you
know, the guy or lady might have just signed up and didn't know about
the search option, but most people even online just want a
answer from a person, especially driving our beloved 8.

So don't take it to heart, and welcome! I dont even have a 8
yet, but will stick up for any member here!

sorry, i must be having trouble with my sarcasm filter. Either way, I DO think the sig is hilarious...hope that is what you were going for.

I did assUme you were a kid,my apologies. But, I find a common mistake in the measure of adulthood with age instead of maturity.

Either way, maybe you are a d!ck, maybe your not. I'll tell you if I am still here in a month.

DucGasm, here are a few suggestions.

1) Read the more technical threads and marvel at the knowledge that some people here can pass along.

2) Hang out in the lounge and laugh your butt off from time to time.

3) When you come across someone who acts like a prick, just shake your head and be thankful you aren't them.
