The passenger side rear seatbelt latch doesn't click. Anybody else experience a similar problem?

Nope. Belt my dog in back there all the time. No problem.

The rear seatbelt actually has a really nice feature for belting in dogs and baby seats. If you pull it all the way out first before allowing it to retract, it sets fully retracted. Great feature that prevents the dog or a baby seat from loosening up.

Perhaps silly but - make sure you're not trying to latch in the front belt by accident. It can be confusing especially if the front seat is forward or the rear door is open.

Take it back to the dealer ASAP. Definite safety issue.

My dirver's side belt latch clicks when I move silghtly around on the seat. But it clicks in .

That's a fairly standard feature, every car I've ever had did that on every seat except the driver's.

My last dozen or so cars have been domestic Fords (company cars, not my choice) None of them had this feature.

My broken seat belt story (http://www.rx8club.com/showthread.php?s=&threadid=14232). At least you weren't trapped.

Whe I first got my car I tried to use the front seat belt in the rear latches, thinking I had the right one. It didn't work and I was cussing until I realized I had my stupid switch turned on.

Actually, re-reading that, I think I might have erred.

Every car I've ever had if you pull the seatbelt all the way out it "locks" the seatbelt, so that what ever you feed back in will not come out again. In other words, it still retracts, you just can't pull it back out again. You cancel this by letting the seatbelt go all the way back in and then it's free again.

I don't think that's what beachdog was saying, though that's how I read it originally. So I'll shut up now. :)

Haha, made me look. I had an "oh, no, WTF minute" but no, it is actually the back belt that's buggered, not me! Thanks all, I'll try to take it in to the dealer before I propel one of my kids thru the moonroof.

Good plan. I am sure they can fix that pretty quick for ya.
