View Full Version : Mazda is strange - pics to prove it 6speed8 04-02-2004, 05:25 PM The rear brake calipers on the Mazda 6 look polished (or nicely painted), the fronts look just like the RX-8 (you know dull and dark): 6speed8 04-02-2004, 05:26 PM and the front brakes on the Mazda 3 look nice too: JASRX-8 04-02-2004, 07:08 PM ??? Perhaps that has something to do with it, too. Any thermodynamics majors correct me if I'm off here. MazdaManiac 04-02-2004, 08:55 PM Mazda uses whatever parts they pull from the bin/vendor list. So many of their design decisions are based on existing contracts with suppliers and whatever they have stockpiles of from previous models. 6speed8 04-02-2004, 09:24 PM My point was, it would have been nice to have had the 'polished' looking ones on the RX-8. Mazda decided differently, and what is strange is the '6' has polished calipers on the BACK, but the ones like the RX-8 on the front. I think it is odd. mental pimp 04-02-2004, 10:14 PM ??? That is correct- speaking from a thermodynamic standpoint, given various inherent atmospheric and velocity variables, it has been well proven that if the angle of the dangle is perpendicular to the fall of the ball, the beat of the meat shall remain constant. Hence, cup holders. |
