I wish we could buy those in the states. Aren't they thinking of bring the elise over or something?

Last I heard, it was supposed to come to the US in August 2004 with a price around $38K. I'm not sure if that would be the 120HP version (its still pretty dam fast) or a higher powered version. I'm not sure what engine(s) they will be using yet.

I heard we might get a 160 HP model.:D I could be wrong since I saw that on a board somewhere, so it was not a realibale source.

I would like one with a Type-R, RSX-S or S2000 engine swap. Seen them out there.. 200-240hp in that chassis... droool.. :D

I'm trying to convince my husband that my RX-8 and his old BMW will be the "kid" cars and he should start thinking about an Elise so we can have a fun car too!

That is one gorgeous car! And it looks so much better in person too.

Thanks for the picture!

The US-spec Elise will be getting either the Toyota Celica GT's 130 hp 1.8L four, or the Celica GT-S' 180 hp four, or the choice of either.
