RX-7 revives in 2007? --- the promise of Mazda and booth president

[ February 5th of 2003 ]
Lewis * booth president of Mazda opened press conference in the Hiroshima head office, ' showed forward attitude in loading the rotary engine which was developed in RX-8 ' business onto also other model. ' RX-7 ' there is also a possibility of reviving. The RX-7 which loads the rotary engine, with August last year emission control, discontinued production. With Mazda, as for the RX-8 which is sold in April we have asserted, it is not the succession model of RX-7, furthermore as for booth president, as for the possibility of loading the rotary engine onto other model into 2 - 3 years while denying, that being attached first, you conveyed that one idea of the choices. When the fan is long-awaited concerning the revival of the RX-7, loading the rotary engine to which the RX-7 installs the twin turbocharger, in as many as 2007 or thereabout revives, observation has surfaced.

--but on another note, I guess those guys at the St.Louis auto show (who everyone said had NO IDEA what they were talking about) may have been right.
