When I purchased my RX8 from Browning Mazda at the end of December I also opted for the 7yr/100K extended warranty. This was NOT a factory Mazda warranty but the one that the dealer sold via a 3rd party company that was supposed to be as good as the Mazda one and a bit less expensive ($980).
I just got a certified letter in the mail from the warranty company saying that they have "declined the sale of my vehicle service contract" and that I must "contact my dealer to discuss any refund that may be due."
I called the dealer and they had no clue about it. They had me fax them the certified letter and said they would get back to me... so far I've heard nothing. Did anyone else buy the extended warranty from Browning and have you received a similar letter? Inquiring minds want to know.
