I was told by a local shop that 20"s would fit no prob but im curious as to how they would look. My 8 is titanium grey and I was thinking about some black 20s with a chrome lip. Any suggestions opinions?

The salesman I am buying my 8 from is putting 20's on one of the 8's the dealership has in inventory and then driving it for a few weeks. I will get some pics when I go up there in a little while and post them on here.

Just put it this way... 20's fit, don't start yet ANOTHER new thread regarding 20's. They slow the car down, and look gangsta; but if gangsta is what you want--- go for it!!

End of story,

who cares about starting another thread about 20.
why does everyone swear that we have to put lightweight
wheels on.slowing the car down.who cares its his car.

i personally like staggered look dont care what size.
i will rock 16-21 staggered if i could and might one day.

Nobody says you have to put lightweight wheels on your car. The problem is that many people don't KNOW how those larger, heavier wheels will affect performance - they buy into the marketing hype and assume that because they're "cooler" that they are somehow improving performance. You like the staggered look? Good for you - as long as you know that it will degrade your handling. However, there are some people who might not actually put on 20s or go staggered if they actually knew that their car would get slower or handle worse.

Forums are about information sharing, to help people make informed decisions. If Potent is new here and hasn't heard about the negative consequences of bigger, heavier wheels - then he deserves to know before he makes his decision. HE might actually care - after all, it's HIS car.

As for "rocking" when you go staggered - as long as you think so! People who know about handling will snicker when they look at your car and be thinking "lame, what a poseur". But hey, as long as YOU think you rock, go for it! :D

Gordon

I never said I wasn't for staggered setups, I am all about them, I am going with 8" front, 10" rear, but unsure 18" or 19".

I agree with staggered rims, but just be aware that you introduce quite a bit of understeer when you stagger your car. On a car that isn't as balanced as the 8, that actually helps improve handling quite a bit. But since the 8 is so well balanced the additional understeer will likely make the car handle worse. Just my 2c though.

you say you lose performance as you go bigger how much loss are you looking at for going to 20s?
