View Full Version : When's the next meeting in OC or LA?

I just posted on a different thread that by some weird luck, some how I haven't seen that many RX8 around; seriously, I've only seen about 5 or 6, and 3 of the sightings are from the same person that works next to me.

I have my car about 4 months now and I've seen an old man and a woman driving a basic 8, that's about it. Where is everyone? I haven't seen any of you OC and LA crews at all.

When is the next OC or LA meeting? I feel a little left out :(

Anyway, if any of you sees a Red 8 w/Full MS kit (soon) and spoiler, w/Volk GT7's, and w/license plate CHASTHS, that be me, if I'm lucky enough.

Not really a meet, just stating where we could all meet if you like beer and got free time this Friday evening.

Welps, Same as always, I'm going to be at Michael's Bar and restraunt that is off of the 405 in Westminster.

15192 Goldenwest St.

It's just off of the freeway, Green sign, can't miss it. I'll be there from 10:30pm to whenevers... which is usually closing, but who knows :) You'll spot my dinky car there, and perhaps if my friend isn't too lazy, his FD.

What so special about Michael's Bar? Sounds like you hang out there a lot :D

Well.. just on Fridays mainly.. just some friends I see ever so often, talk about BS, drink a little.. ya know.. guy stuff. Besides, it's open till 2pm, and I can always ask my friend that works at Stillen about car junk... which I'm a total newbie.

Oh and some of the servers are pretty cute too.. that doesn't hurt. We sometimes even go to Norms on Beach Blvd after the bar closes to grab a bite to eat.

Hrmm, sounds interesting. Wanna hang out with me sometimes at places like Sunset Room, Falcons, Ivar, Garden, or some trendy bars, and I'll introduce to you some real cuties?

I just checked out Falcon for the first time the other night and really had a great time. The place is defintely full of hotties. When the Vallet brought back my 8 a number of them waiting in line were visibly impressed by the car.

I've been to all those places, even White Lotus, Chi (My female friend digs Justin T...oh joy), but sometimes it's easier to just drive to Westminster on a Friday night after work. On Saturday is when I could go out to the LA area... but lately, I've been feeling like an old fart, and just mope.

KJ, You didn't go to CHS did you? Not the Class of 95 is it?

Koala Joe
03-23-2004, 12:29 PM
I went to CHS, Class of 92, I'm truely an old fart, but young at heart.

For me, my playing days are over, I have GF, prolly get married next year (oh no!)... stick a fork in me, I'M DONE!

All I can do now these days is just help get my friends hooked up and get laid; and believe me I know A LOT of people LOL :D

We usually have a big group hug, then read from the good book... the RX-8 Manual. If we feel hungry, we enter the local In-N-Out and do the secret Mazda dance before ordering our treats. And at the end, we take a big group picture with us standing on top of our car's hoods and arms raised in triumph!

Then we all follow each other down the street (honking and waving to each other) to the car wash and all drive our cars through the car wash to remove the foot prints. (we get a group discount at the car wash too).

Once you reach 25, you have nothing left to look foward to.

At 18, voting, smoking, can't have sex with a minor. 21, Drinking, gambling.

25, Lower insurance, can adopt, rent cars without the hassle.

30, realize whether you wasted 1/3 of your life on frivolous things.

40, date an 18 year old, buy your first Ferrari/Porsche.

50, date an 18 year old, especially the daughter of the fine girl you tried dating back in high school, but she rejected you, own a vacation home.

Well I'm "trying" to get successful in life that I can get a Dodge Viper by 32, and a Ferrari by 40. Hopefully that is. Once I get that Ferrari, I'm set... well, there is always the S7.

Falcon is on Sunset, pass La Brea going west on right hand side. Very upscale and shi-shi.

Outlaw, what happens after you pass 50?

I don't really care about owning a Ferrari when I turn 40 or 50, I just want to be like Mr. Hugh Heffner when I'm 70+ :D :D :D

you can adopt at 25???

Outlaws eXtreme
03-25-2004, 12:56 PM
Ya you can adopt at age 25, of course with a lengthy background check.

Koala, after the age of 50, I plan to retire. Live in a nice big house. Own a few cars. Dress like a bum. And buy Laker's season courtside ticket and sit next to Jack. Of course I'll still be dating the 18 year olds.

Ladies and Gentlemen,
Mazda has been kind enough to officially invite the So-Cal RX Club to it's annual Mazda Master-Tech competition event this year. This event has typically been an employee only deal, but this year they have invited us to not only participate with a few cars for display, but now also to spectate. Come out and watch Mazda's finest compete on their latest engines and parts... including the all new RENESIS Rotary engine.

***************
WHAT:
Mazda Master-Tech Competition

WHERE:
Mazda R&D Center
Bldg. on Redhill & McGaw
rvine, Ca.
