Just installed Metra kit and guess what? Please come in...

Problems!

I've done searching but I need some reassurance on some topics:

(My Metra box is on version 1.5. I'm also using a Metra ASWC and RCA to wire cables for the Bose amp connection. Radio is a Pioneer AVH-P3400BH.)

1. I'm getting only heat, but after searching I know I need to check out the connections to the Metra box and the circuit board controlling the ****.

2. Not 100% sure if the A/C is working since I'm only getting heat, although I do hear the compressor or something clicking from the engine bay when I press the button.

3. The defrosters and vent circulation buttons work as I can hear the car doing stuff when I press the buttons.

4. Fan speed works.

Now the problems I couldn't find through searching:

5. When the car is on accessories, there seems to be a sound like a CD being ejected constantly coming from behind the radio?

6. The speakers buzz when I open and close the doors? My installer said it's cause the RCA to wire cables we used for the Bose amp. Any solution to this?

Any help to speed up the search for the problems would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks!

just installed this same kit last week in mine. it now makes the same cd ejecting noise youre talking about. i just assumed it was a normal noise coming from the module while its on?

That hardly seems like a normal noise, generally I'd expect any kit to be quiet unless I was actually attempting to eject a CD from it.

its not very loud. i can only hear it with the engine off and no music playing. the kit works fine other wise. im not worried that much about it.

if you have the bose system you have to hook up the blue 12 volt power turn on to the factory harness so that the bose amp will turn on. i had this happen to me and it took me a second to realize it. hope this helps.

for all the headaches it causes I'm almost glad I didn't have the bose system in my 8. Sure the sound quality sucks, but at least I don't have to deal with a connect-the-dots unneccesary length of grounding wire going through my car lol.
