Hi Im from England. After careful consideration I ordered the Blue(probably June..yawn!!)...the Silver was the other I looked at but the blue ones I've seen at the garage seem alot cleaner than the other colours not washed, so that swung it for me. I dont have alot of time to clean cars(too busy playing golf & working) so I want it to look generally clean even when its not been washed.

Cant wait after hearing what u guys are saying about this awesome machine.

Went for the 190 standard trim..I think it looks great. Ordered a few extras as well but desperately want a spoiler to but its not in the accessories brochure. Think I'll go the fins for the vents as well...I was alongside a Blue Met Merc the other day and that had some so I thought why not....if they're good enough for a Merc they're good enough for me.

Be great for driving to the golf club & back!!!....the trouble is its only 6 miles!

Yea I not sure too. But I know its like day and night when I had my 3G. I bet you can save a good 900+ if you get a good set up on an 8.

Seems I haven't.....! I have a Winning Blue 6spd Poverty Pack, that is...no leather, no Bose, no xenon, no foglights, no alloy pedals. All Aussie cars get Ground Illumination lights in the mirrors, 6 stacker, 18" wheels, DSC/TCS. No Aussie car has Nav, Homelink, TPMS or sunroof......we do without tan leather too!

I've added a Hymee catback and Hymee grill kit, D MENAC 7 strakes to come....

I've got what Mazda Australia calls a Leather Pack (Bose, xenons, foglights, alloy pedals and obviously, dead cow) and has been further enhanced with a HKS catback.

Undecided on further mods at the moment, might keep 8 as daily driver and rice something else up. :)

Bluefrenzy, Thanks. It's not common, Mazda only started doing this colour in January over here. Velocity Red is definately the one you see most on our roads. Isn't it avaliable in the US?

You guys have had the RX8 for a while longer than us, have to say there are a lot of sweet looking examples on here. Aftermarket kits and upgrades are not easily avaliable here :(.

NJItalianboy any pics from farther out? The pic with the two blue 8's ... they look identical (except for the fogs). Please tell me that you guys didn't clone each other's cars. From the pic the rims look similar and I can't see whether the custom paint is the same as well. No offense, but that would be weird to have 2 identical cars running around.

Just picked up my '05 Winning Blue 6-speed MT with touring package, appearance package and MS rear spoiler.

Only 140 miles on it, but I've loved it since I drove it off the lot with 9 miles on the odometer!

Yeah... Got the MS Spoiler and the appearance package from the dealer when I got the car. I thought about getting if afterwards and even installing myself, but I just don't have the time.

Nice - nearly 200 replies. You all have to be proud for picking the best, "Winning" color. I'm feeling the bite of the mod-bug so I browsed the entire thread today looking for nice looks.

Of course, there are no ugly blue RX-8s, but I saw a lot of stock, stock and more stock (maybe with appearance package). Then I see dova - fuel door, chrome rims, strakes, tint and clear corners. dova, would you be willing to post some more picks (especially a higher angle to see that door)?

How about the other blues? Doesn't this color just say - "accent me with chrome"?

How about exhaust finishers on our blues?

I have a bottle of Winning Blue touch-up paint, sent to me by Mazda. But, I've no idea which of the numbers printed on the bottle is what you need... There's a "94" on the lid, and "30104" on the side.

Wow thats cool. What was the price on that? an why the blue tape on the lights?

It was less than $300 IIRC. The tape is to prevent rocks from hitting the lens on the headlights and cracking em. Cheap insurance

I dont run in any class other than D group, lol. SS brake lines, RB front/rear sways, JIC front strut brace, DOT 4 Motul fluid, K&N filter, Hawk HP+ pads. SS clutch line

Phantom Blue is ugly. I saw it on the Mazda 5. It looks like dark blue until the light hits it. Then it reflects back pea green metallic.

never looked at Mazda seriously before I bought my 8, stupid as I look backFunny, back in high school and college (86 to 94) I used to think of the 323 as a wannabe civic and the 626 as a wannabe accord and never paid much mind to Mazda at all.

Now that I have my RX-8 I have a whole different perspective on the company. I've given the MPV And Mazda5 a serious look to replace the wife's car and if I had to have a company-car/business-car I'd probably look into the 626.

A friend of mine took this over the summer at a BMW Club HPDE.
He just posted it up the other day. (He was keeping it form me I guess.)

And yes, my car really is that clean.. .after driving in the dirt road to the track and sitting in the gravel paddock...
