Ok, I have a sunlight silver base model RX-8 with the 16" rims. I dont really think the 16" rims look too bad on the silver but Im looking to replace them this summer.

I am interested in a few different Motegi Rims and will more than likely be getting 18" in either silver or hyperblack. I need some opinions on these....

I was very interested to start with in the DPK's once I saw them on MikeB's and MDW's and started to search around on the forums where I came across this thread that turned me onto the FF5's as well! http://www.rx8club.com/showthread.php?s=&threadid=19145&highlight=Motegi

Where I need help is I was wondering with switching from the standard 16" rims to a larger size do I need anything other than new rims and tires to fit them on the car? Stupid question but I need to be sure! Also if there are some photoshop whiz's that would be so kind and maybe give me a look at what these rims might look like on the photo below.....

I know that is a lot of stuff but to me I have to make sure when it comes to my baby.... Im sure you all understand where Im coming from

Here is a photo courtesy of LTRX8 that is almost exactly like my RX-8.

I guess someone could try to photoshop those rims on this photo?

Raider, My condolences if you are indeed a football fan. Anyways, I too am about to spend some cash on rims and the truth is I love the DPKs the most right now, of course there are other rims that look super but they are at least 500 a wheel and I just can't justify that, I could spend the extra on other things for the car. My experience in the past has been that once you order the wheels and if you order tires at the same time they will be mounted and balanced when they arrive at your door, you will then not need anything other than a lift/jack to put them on and be good-to-go. Good luck to you and your football team!

Thanks for the info. Im more worried about the TPMS and brakes when going from 16" to 18". Im a huge football fan but more or less my "Raider" reference is to our local high school football team Raider Football (http://www.richmondraiders.com) . Im a Carolina Panthers fan as far as NFL is concerned but in a way the condolences are appropriate

Any photoshop guys bored this weekend??? And anyone else have an opinon between the rims? Another opinion I want was between the color of the rims on my sunlight silver 8....

Should I get polished silver rims or hyperblack or gun metal?

Thanks again.
