Mentone is an awesome area to test the capabilities of any vehicle. Also down in the Talledega Forest area of Anniston & Oxford.

We just need our cars !!!

Glad y'all responded -- I live in Guntersville, which is inbetween Gadsden & Huntsville.

You may already know this, but when I said I live in Lower Alabama, I was referring to Northwest Florida - the panhandle.

I was up in Oxford over Thanksgiving. We went driving and hiking like 3 days in a row up there. I can't wait to go back with my RX-8.

Hello Fellow Rotary Car owners..

This Sunday, Aug. 3rd, 2003. We are having a rotary car get together/ Cookout/ AutoX in Birmingham, AL..

As of now, we are expecting approximately 30-40 people, and 15 to 20 1993+ RX7s, few Older RX7's.. etc..
couple of engine builders, and some fast 7's..

We would love to have some new RX-8 owners to come join us..

Location: Birmingham Race Course,
Direction: Birmingham Race Course. To get there, take Exit 31 (Derby Parkway) off I-459 just north of the I-459/I-20 junction east of Birmingham. Enter at the second gate
Time: around 10AM to 4PM

When would the next get together be. I d love take my RX8 on a race track and not worry about cops. I'm in LA and the drive to B'ham north would be fun.

what up fellas..i am from Anniston...Cheaha has some great twisties up there especially cutting through 431...avoid that crap though off the 188 exit though...tear your $hit up!!!...

Haven't hit Mentone yet...might do that on the way up to the mountains in Asheville this winter, if I can somehow convince the wife all the camping gear will fit,,,,hehehehe...

Yes, I am DYING to get my 8 up to Cheaha. I was up there visiting with some family of the friends last Thanksgiving (or maybe it was the one before...), and that's all I've had on my mind since I got my car in July. I really want to get there this fall, since we are moving to Texas in the spring.

We are heading down to an event in Montgomery, AL this sunday (11-16-2003) at the MMP..

Its combination of Drag wars and Car show.. We are meeting Sunday Morning off of Pelham/Helena Exit (shell station) around 7:30-8AM.. Yes, its pretty early.. Some of you have church or too hung over to come out.. Its should be a fun event.. We are caravaning down to MMP..

So far 5 RX7's and few local Bham Car enthusiasts will be there..

Sorry.. The caravan time has changed to 9:00 AM on sunday.. 8 was too early for some.. And it will still give us plenty of time to hang out at MMP..

Same location.. well, slightly changed.. Cheveron station across the street from Shell.. Still Helena/Pelham exit.. From there it should be about 80 mile drive..

We will be having our Mazda Rotary Car Club of Alabama meeting probably beginning of next year.. Me and couple of others are planning to meet up with the Miata club of Alabama.. mayeb even a shop day at Trussville Mazda.. I will keep you guys informed..
