Talked to the people at *** that have it on their website and this is what they said:

We are waiting for this product to actually become available. Therefore, we do not have any pricing yet, or dyno information. AEM gives us the information on upcoming products before they are actually available so we can be updated on upcoming products. Keep checking with us, and we will let you know if this product is available.

Thanks,
Jennifer

I got the info from my AEM distributor, Keystone Automotive. Tommy's right, they're not quite out yet.

I am still confused why you guys are so hung up on "hp" gains.

Do you have any idea that, for example, a 5-6 hp gain will not be "felt" by you?

Come on guys, let's be smart here. The RX-8 is a 3,000 lbs. car. You are not going to feel an additional 5-6 hp.

All intakes are roughly the same - purchase one based upon name, looks, price and what is currently available. I've had AEM products in the past and they are very good; unfortunately, when I purchased my intake, the K&N was about the one thing availabe in my price range.

You are correct that 5-6 hp won't do much. My plan is intake/ECU/exaust. All three mods together should produce a nice increase in performance. Each mod should compliment the others and give a better total outcome.

Hmm, can’t say I agree with the ‘Choose any intake cause your not going to feel it’ statement.

I recently installed an AEM V2 intake on my MY00 S2000 and it made a very noticeable difference in two areas, intake sound and torque.

The intake hums; the V2 uses sound waves to provide constant increases across the rev range. Does it work? Not sure, but at idle, it sounds like I have a supercharger under the hood. Drive it gently and there’s no real change in sound, bury the throttle and hear the Roar, once it hit’s the V-Tech it’s hard to stop yourself running through all the gears because it sounds so fantastic!

On the torque front, S2000 are notorious for needing high revs, and it still does, but without a doubt it has made the car more drivable. Do I feel the extra 12hp that AEM claim? Probably not, but the other changes are very noticable.

Bottom line is, each intake has different characteristics outside of HP gains, and it’s important to share with the group so we can all make an informed decision.

I want to put an intake on my 8, but since my wife drives it most of the time, she simply will not put up with intake roar. I am watching this thread with interest, because I was so impressed with my V2 AEM, though it was a bear to install. In the end I will most likely switch to a drop in filter, but if the AEM turns out to be a winner on the intake reonance, then maybe I can go with that instead.

Just my 2c
