Hi, I am new to this site and in desperate need to find a decent mechanic who knows what they are doing with an RX8 in Hampshire area. I have starting problems, had new plugs and leads fitted to no avail, had diagnostic check which found no faults?! Ive had 2 mechanics look at it but they could not work out what the problem is.

As much as I love RX8`s I am useless myself with cars and urgently need someone that can come and fix it!

Any help would be massively appreciated, especially as I need to move home in a few days and dont want to leave my car stranded!

"Rotary" shops are fairly rare, where ever you are in the world. We can probably diagnose it for you, if you want to lay out the symptoms. "Starting problems" can indicate a wide range of issues:
failing engine
failing starter
failing ignition
failing battery
ground problems
e-shaft sensor dirty/fouled/profile shifted

for the short list.

Age? Mileage? Last ignition replacement? battery age? does it start differently when hot vs when cold? any issues with odd dash light behavior?
