While at the parts store spotted a little package all to itself and thought "gotta have it!" Then I started having second thoughts. "Too tacky"? Wife says no, it's cute and she put 'em on. I'm still undecided :)

Subtly irreverent. I like 'em!

(Gyro, those are the Dunlop Sport 8090 tires, an alternate OEM tire that started appearing on the December delivery RX-8s)

ehhh...... I think it is ok... (despite the furious peer pressure). If it is a rotary shaped 8 ball then you can shut them up ;)

But subtle tacky. Understated tacky. I mean, they're awful small. It's ironic, so that's cool.

Lose 'em. Put those on your dune buggy, or something like it. They are cute, but everything has its place. Just MHO. :)

I guess if you are a billiards shark then it's OK. Go with you instincts and don't get them, however; I must confess that I used to have the skulls on my BMX bike back in the day.

They gotta go because today I found them very difficult to remove when checking the tire pressure. Inserts look like brass which I figured was good but they don't seem to be getting along well with the metal of the valve stem. The plastic piece was spinning while the insert remained stuck. Gotta take a closer look to see if they were cross-threaded. Not that I'm blaming the installer :p

Everyone has strengths and weaknesses. I think your weakness is style, and unfortunately your significant other is a bad influence in that area too. :p

Lose all the 8 balls, they fugly!! And in the future run your ideas by us so we can keep you in check. :D ;)

Bro those 8 ball caps got's to go! Why not just put rotary caps on it. Mazda trix sells them. It looks better than your 8 ball. You can also change your center caps on your rims into a rotary insignia. Go to mazdatrix.com they have some pictures posted for rx8 accesories.

I actually kinda like my 8-ball shifter.. Although it is a bit confusing for someone who's never used a 6-speed before - they just have to guess where reverse is...

Anyhow - I find the 8-ball to be the perfect size to fit into the palm of my hand... and I think it looks kinda cool too...!

.. I'm not too crazy about the 8-ball valve caps though ....

The valve stem caps are *not* mine!!! I just chimed in when I noticed that I happened to have a matching shifter knob.

repeat: I do not have 8-ball valve caps!!

I figured that out, but still, you have an 8 ball shifter knob. :)
