Ugh, every time I see the interior and the gauges of the 350z it reminds me of why I didnt get the car. The RX-8 interior and gauges look like they come from a car $10,000 more expensive.

Another thing that they didnt show were the doors. Besides the miniscule door handle, the rest door is a massive sea of black fabric. At least give me something to look at! :p

I never really realized how much the 350Z looks like the TT! The side view really shows the almost identical design. Did Nissan just rip off the design or did they hire the Audi design team to create this knock-off for them?

Ugh! That Z wheel looks show disgusting. Looks like a wheel they would put in a cadillac. The could've done better than that. Not only that the door handles don't look right.

Probably for the foglights, and to change the hights of the frontlights and maybe also for the lights in the interior; we've got those buttons in our Mazda Premacy too

Having the printed magazine, I think the right one (with yellow colour) might be to disable the airbag of the front-seat passenger. (I think I can read "airbag".)
The middle one could be "DSC OFF".
The left one seems to be for brightness of interior.
The very left is blanc here.

I will give one win to the Z: the placement of the emergency brake. I've never liked it being way over by the passenger seat.

-Stephen Could this have something to do with the RX-8 trying to keep a few features from earlier RX'es? I think the original reason was that the Japanese (like the Brits) have the odd custom of driving on the wrong side of the road - and the constructors simply couldn't be bothered with moving the emergency brake as well as the steering wheel when converting their cars for sale abroad. If I'm not much mistaken, the emergency brake is perfectly situated in the UK and Jap versions!

Cheers

Eske

the weird thing about parking brake placement...i used to think that's the case (due to right vs. left hand steering configs.). but then c5 corvettes have it on the other side of the transmission tunnel away from the driver as well. it seems weird, but when you sat in it it's not as inconvenient as it looks. so it might just have to do with some engineering placement or whatever reason

Personally I don't mind the placement. It gives the passengers something to hold on to during the lateral movements. Advise passenger to LET GO of the brake during ACCELERATION. :D

[edit] Oh yeah, and the air bag thing under the glove compartment just looks like an indicator to me and not a button.

[edit again] Hey, I just graduated from "Junior Member" to a full blown "Member"!!!! :D

The first thing I noticed is how the driver's door doesn't have a big grab handle like the passenger door. It looks like they put the wrong door on the car. Add that to the crappy looking wheel (looks like a "wheel-boot" in NYC!) and the cheap looking plastic dash and the bubble-ass and those exterior door handles...need I go on? Oh yeah and they allowed Infinity to put much better looking wheels on the G35, those 18's are sweet!

...When the TT first came out, I loved it - especially the dash and interier, but now ... it just doesn't hold up very well, it looks very dated - when compared to the RX-8

:D

Thanks, for the pics!

I must say I like the Z shape a lot although the inside looks a bit cheap. The TT still looks good especially from the back and side and the inside is probably the best design and quality you will find.
