When the 350Z went on presale, Nissan decided that the only trim that would come out with leather would be the touring. Tons of people decided to spend more cash and upgrade from the base/performance/enthusiast models just so they could get leather. When the car showed up in dealer showrooms, suddenly it was revealed that leather would be a dealer option, and could be chosen on any model.
I wonder if Mazda is gonna be doing the same sort of thing.
