Broke_Apex_Seal 03-04-2004, 11:19 AM Guys just to let you know NINEDEEP works for mazda and rats people out. Please be aware he has a titanium grey 8 with all the mazdaspeed body parts and anything mazdaspeed sells and also has powered by browns mazda on the back of his windscreen. This guys name is Ryan so becarful who you talked to because according to my sources he actuallys gets your vin and tracks all your info down and reports it to mazda (MANA).
p.s. he works at Browns Mazda in fairfax:mad:
Broke_Apex_Seal 03-04-2004, 11:20 AM this might not be the right section but the most viewed so mods if you would make it a sticky in the right section.
maybe we should start emailing him all of our mods! like I tinted my windows!, I painted my engine cover!, I put sand bags in the trunk!
eccles 03-04-2004, 11:50 AM Assuming for a moment that this accusation is even slightly based in fact, what would be his motivation? It's not as if MNAO doesn't have their own lurkers here - why would they need some dealership peon to do their dirty work if that was their intention?
zerobanger 03-04-2004, 11:52 AM OH NO DAMN I PUT A MAZDA MP3 PLAYER IN MY CAR. WORSE YET I'M TYPING IN ALL CAPS!!!!!

BWAAAAAAAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I see somebody tried to cheat their dealer on a warranty claim and got caught? :p Loser. You want to play the mod game, you better be prepared to pay - rules is rules, and sacrificing your warranty coverage on related components is one of the rules.
You don't like the rules? Don't play the game. Boo hoo, you got caught. HA!
Regards,
Gordon
Broke_Apex_Seal 03-04-2004, 02:33 PM who said I got caught? Or even broke anything;) . You dont have to even care I thought I would let you all know. I just think it is shady as hell. Also on a side note forums cant get a warranty voided or anything to that nature Mazda has to have written documentation of this.

There went every last shred of credibility you had.... :o
How about instead of being an ass you defend your accusations with some proof or at least telling how you found this out?

Being gay isn't a matter of someone's opinion. For what it's worth, so far all the openly gay members of this forum are American.
Not that there's anything wrong with that! ;)
Nationality has little to do with the subject at hand - I doubt that Canadians are any more or less likely to try to cheat on a warranty claim. That's strictly a matter of maturity and personal integrity, which you must be lacking.
As for shady as hell or getting caught - your words were that he "rats people out". The only people who need ratting out are the ones trying to cheat/steal from Mazda. What is shady as hell is breaking something from abuse or mods, and trying to cheat Mazda into paying for your screw-ups.
So, are you representing Peter Farrell Supercars in an official capacity when you try to cheat Mazda? How does your boss like these stories appearing on the internet?
Regards,
Gordon
islandsoon 03-04-2004, 03:26 PM Fellas...
Dont_be_a_rikki (name was Ryan), Broke_Apex_Seal and Chieferx all seem to have some connection to Peter Farrell Supercars, all seem to be selling the same air intake system and all seem to believe the Tornado works. In addition, I think Dont_be_a_rikki's posts may have disappeared about the time Broke came to the forum.
As to ratting to Mazda, I welcome their joining the forum. It would be a valuable way to track issues. Even answer questions as many Sterio Mfgers do on the very excellent AVS forum.

I am not representing PFS let me get that correct. I am on this board supply information and receive information. You posted in an immature manner and I gave it back to you simple as that. I am not here to make enemies just friends. I meant no harm in my post just some good old fashion wise cracks that is it. Also I have not taken advantage of Mazda or anyone for that fact. I am just posting what I have heard and seen. As for chierferx he is my friend I met one day a few months back when he first got his rx-8. We are very good friends now so leave him out of this.

I am all for Mazda to be out spoken on this board but to be honest I don’t think they really give a shit. IMO of course. Dont_be_a_rikki was deleted for several reasons and Jason and myself made that call. My last post on this thread and I will leave it like this. Do what you want with this info but always remember if it was to happen to you or someone you know you and friends and family would be very upset....

I second all of that! Good reply Gordon. In another completely unrelated thought... these boards have mods right?

Koala Joe 03-04-2004, 05:39 PM Correct me if I'm wrong, but say if it was true, so what if the dealer finds out what mods we got? I mean the dealer can only void our warranty if they can prove that our mods caused the damage, right? I know there is a consumer clause on this; I think I even have a print out.
MazdaManiac 03-04-2004, 05:40 PM OK. Let me vouch for Broke Apex Seal for a sec.
The individual about whom he is speaking does, indeed, work for the aforementioned dealership.
That individual does indeed take an unnatural interest in the RX-8s of others, including the VIN and such.
He did "investigate" me very thoroughly last year right after I bought my 8 at a car show at MIR and wrote down everything on my field ticket including my VIN.
Market research, perhaps?
His first reaction to my intention to modify my car was to point out that it would void my warrantee and that dealerships like his would not be likely to even work on my car once the warrantee was voided.
Pretty paranoid words coming from someone who had already installed every available MazdaSpeed component on his car on his own dime. At the time, I shrugged him off.
DEALERS NOR MNA CAN NOT VOID YOUR WARRANTY!!! They can however deny warranty claims. There is a big difference.
Koala Joe 03-04-2004, 05:48 PM IkeWRX, so you're saying that no matter what we do to our cars, the warranty cannot be voided, but dealership can refuse service? But if the warranty cannot be voided, then as consumers, dealership cannot refuse our service because they're not the ones paying for the warranty. They're reimbursed by the manufacturer.
NAVILESRX8 03-04-2004, 05:49 PM I swear with each new thread, they are become even more irrellevant, and/or redundant.......

Legally they have to prove the mod caused the problem in order to deny a warranty claim. However they know what it entails to fight a denied warranty claim... lawyers, lots of money, and a good amount of time. Something which they know no consumer will go through with the average warranty claim, so people just give in and pay when denied rather than fight. Simply put, the dealers and manufacturers know they have us by the balls.
If you want to mod I suggest doing research on dealers in your area and finding out what dealers are more mod friendly. If people stop buying cars from dealers that are known to deny claims based on the smallest mod that has no chance of causing the problem you're having those dealers will have to rethink their methods.
Mini and Dodge are now offering mod packages for some of their cars, and the packages are fully supported under warranty. I feel this is going to become more and more common as time goes on, especially if the current HP war keeps up.
NAVILESRX8 03-04-2004, 06:14 PM Ike's is the only voice of reason...........other than his criticizing of the RX8, I agree with almost everything he says....
AltecLansing 03-04-2004, 06:37 PM actually, i'm not sure if that is legal to tell other's privacy information in the public....cox, my friend's website has received a letter from the lawyer due to similar case happening in this thread.
so, becareful guys.
Elara 03-04-2004, 07:17 PM If he works for Mazda, so friggin what? There are a ton of Mazda "spys" on here, but most of them don't say anything. Mazda already KNOWS your VIN number, (where do you think it came from to begin with? And how do you think Mazda keeps sending all those letters to us?) Ninedeep, as I recall, was a pretty nice guy. And if you're stupid enough to do what that other idiot did (was it a Subaru?) and ruin your car with aftermarket parts, try to cheat Mazda by switching out the parts with the ones it came with and claim it broke all by itself, then you deserve to get caught.
And one last time. DO NOT USE "GAY" IN A DEROGATORY MANNER. I've already banned one idiot today for it, and as you may not have realized you were being so offensive, Broke_Apex_Seal, I'll let it slide, although I am editing your post.
BOOSTD 7 03-04-2004, 07:27 PM They can't void your warranty, they can just make it a pain in your ass to get the work done.
Listen guys, I'll go to bat on this one. If it can be proven that ANY Mazda dealer is doing this, I'll take the issue to my contacts inside MNAO.
D MENAC 7 03-04-2004, 08:09 PM This was a funny funny thread, I was actually sitting here rolling on some of this. I hope they don't void my warranty on my THIRD BRAKE LIGHT because of my mod...did you hear that? THIRD BRAKE LIGHT Mazda logo mod! :D
D MENAC 7 03-04-2004, 08:10 PM Oh yeah, ask me about my THIRD BRAKE LIGHT MAZDA LOGO MOD sometime...

ninedeep 04-13-2004, 08:48 AM I heard about this thread from another member this morning and I thought maybe he had me confused with someone else. I guess not. This is so funny. Does anybody have any proof that I did all of these rumors, because I sure don’t remember doing these things.
Broke Apex Seal…….what made you start this thread about me. Are you that bored and jealous or did I actually do something to piss you off and make you want to make these rumors up about me?
Toadman 04-13-2004, 09:39 AM This thread is pointless and going nowhere. Locked.
