Hey guys and gals I just wanted to let you know that some of us S2000 owners are trying to start up a car meet. We know about the thursday meet at ale house however we are trying to stay away from there because well there are a lot of highschool kids and we wanted to get into a more enthuesists (sp?) meet. Currently we are meeting at Best buy on Tues at around 9pm however we are not sure if that location is going to remain. I will keep you updated if anyone here is interested in meeting up with some of us gear heads. By the way some of us will be at the March 7th autox meet at GIR. Hope to see some of you there.

I have a silver RX-8 and i go out to the thrus. meetings at the ale house. I've been going for about 2.5 years now. Half of them are flaming gay high schoolers, and the other half, also known as International Motorsports is not. We do track events, racing and other stuff....Maybe you should come out sometime and go to the end of the parking lot, closest to the main road, and look for non-rice cars. THat would be us...we care about speed, not just looks. Thanks hun.

Oh, and we'll be there on march 7th at GIR...we always are.

Hey! Thought I saw you guys meet up at Best Buy on another night. Did I meet you at the GIR autocross on the 7th?

My name is Eddie, I had the "rice" FD that killed 4 cones on the first run, almost took out timing on the second, and cruised peacefully on the third. I'm no autocrosser by any means (my driving proved that) but do like to go out there to have fun.

If you guys still meet up at Best Buy on Thursday I'd like to swing by and say hi. I love the S2000!

well we met up last week on tues at best buy, and i think this week we may be not meeting tues, but I will let you know when we do. I am not sure if I recall you. I was one of the guys in the silver s2000. Not the fast one but the slow one. lol. Were you the one with the pretty rx7, or was that someone else. I dont think I saw any rx8's out there but we would like to have more cars join us. We are trying to find a place to meet on tues at 9pm with food. However as soon as we get more people involved we can vote for that, maybe the new sonics. I will let you know what we do however. I may stop by the thurs meet this week too so may see you out there.

If you were at the FSU/UF game this past season you may have seen my GF and myself driving around in a VR 6MT.

she graduated from uf and i'm currently a student at FSU. We make our way down to G'ville once in a while and maybe we can all hook up some time!

Hell, maybe we can all make the FSU/UF game a regular thing every year with the folks in the club! Even if everyone can't make it to the game we can still throw a BBQ and tailgate somewhere.

Zsak - I was babying the car, working on more technique and getting a feel of how it handles before going out of control. Only my third autocross. Going in a straight line is soooo much easier. Turned the Profec off so only 7 psi. Need to set the suspension up better, blah, blah, more excuses...and sigh...learn to drive.:(

Let me know what's up with the meets. I'll be at Sebring on Friday; if any of you head out that way look for the MRCCFL camp site. Just look for a bunch of FDs around a Blue Canopy with a Gator banner.

ya i figured that was what you were doing eddy. How much boost can you raise on that car anyhow. All i remember is those 2 wrx's who's blowoff valvue went every 2 secs lol. That is unforunate that the yellow s2000 got hit, I must of missed that, I was parked near there too.

I also agree, I saw your rx8 out there too drivenbyspeed, you should of had her out there and burn some tires up lol. Well hopefully we can get a meet going one of these tues. These past 2 weeks have just been bad for me, but maybe some of the other guys maybe out there this tues. I will keep you all posted. Maybe we all can do a track day for you fellas that only want to go straight lol. I know my butt will be grass well I may have a chance with the rx8, but it will be fun to see some of you turbo guys haul butt.
By the way next autox event is may9 I believe. Maybe next time you are out there eddy you can give me a ride in that beast. :)

just thought i would say hello...im a G8TOR grad too....class of 93. I miss good ole gainesville. was up there this summer for the thursday night meet with my cougar club....just bought an 8 wednesday though...definite improvement.

I was actually next to a black one with stock chrome wheels and limo tint, looked kinda cool, minus the chrome wheels. Directions are not too hard. We are located on the corner of 13th st and Williston Rd. Just keep driving south on 13th st towards Paynes Praire (sp?) Once you cross williston rd you will see scottish inns on the left. You should see a silver s2000 out front if not 2 of them there.

Whats up Eddy, its Tim from TN with the Winning Blue RX-8, I have sorta good news. I got my intern down in Gainesville this summer so I will be there all summer long, starting April 8th or so I will be down there, Over in Campus Lodge. I hope to get to meet some of the other RX-8 owners, the RX-7 owners, and the S2K owners, along with anyone else that is there. You guys will have to just disreguard the Tennessee license plate though lol

Info Rotary Autocross
the instructors Marc Dana and Elliot Harvey are both ITS RX-7 roadracers. Elliot is a long time Autocrosser with lots of National wins. Marc had taked the podium at the a National level in Autocross and is due for some wins.

They know a lot about car set and being that they drive a FC in ITS they know RX-7's all too well.
