Well, it's almost that time again. Does anynone have any suggestions for next Saturday's meet? Possible ideas off the top of my head:

Setser Car Show
Malibu Grand Prix
Beach Cruise and Dinner
Races at East Bay Raceway (Gibsonton) or Sunshine Speedway (Pinellas Park)

I'm up for ideas. Toss them out there and we'll decide on something.

And don't forget, the following weekend is the 12 Hours of Sebring and Mazda Extreme Street Car Show. Paying MRCCFL members in free!

Well this is my first post, And I would be up for some dinner and Beach cruising. Would really like to meet some other members. I am up in Jacksonville.

I will also be in Tampa this weekend if anyone is interested in getting together then.

Sunshine and a Beach Cruise have both garnered some votes thus far. Anyone else have any input before we make a decision?

Look for final details come Tuesday.

FINAL DETAILS

Well, after careful deliberation, this idea wins. Meet up for dinner at 5 PM at the Quaker Steak and Lube on 49th Street in Pinellas Park. Grab a bite to eat, and head over to Sunshine Speedway to catch the racing by 7 PM. After that, well, I might be hungry again. :)

Since it also had some votes, a Beach Cruise next month is likely.

I probably won't make it to dinner by 5, as I'll be stuck at work for awhile. If I don't get to Quaker Steak before everyone leaves, I'll meet you all at Sunshine.

If you need any info or directions, don't hesitate to contact me.

Is there a email list or something to keep posted on the meetings?

The usual suspects showed up - which is not that many. Matt Patton and John Peppi (both RX-7 owners) just missed each other at Quaker Steak. They both left me voicemails. I called John back and he and I still went to Sunshine. It was kind of fun watching some circle track racing for a change.

Unless I get more commitments to not only come, but possibly help plan and brainstorm ideas, this region's monthly meets are postponed indefinitely. Two bad turnouts in a row with bad turnout for most of last year disappoints me, but doesn't surprise me.

Well, I'm suure we can get a better turn out. Alot of us here don't really know eachother or you. I would love to meet you guys, I just forget/get distracted easily. On a related note.. I've been noticing more rx-7's lately around here. Sat/Sun (I forgot which day) I saw a red FD that sounded real mean at the carwash on 580 and mcmullen booth. It had a custom hood and a bodykit (i think). I Also saw a black FD one the weekend before last going up gulf to bay.
