Very nice, Mike. But I notice your lowering springs (Eibach's as I recall) seem to have settled a bit too much in the rear. Or, is that just the pic?

BTW, you need to change your avatar now too. :D

there is no rubbing

the springs have settled more as time has gone by
and the back does appear lower than the front

they ride great/ no problems

I can't take the credit on picking the wheel
I saw pics of these rims on mdw3333 and Mrs. showoff car and that helped me make a choice

Did you custom paint the calipers or upgrade them to a set that was red?

They are 8" wide with a +40 offset. They ride great on mine.

I kinda like them, but if I'm gonna get any rim to replace the gorgeously simple stock 18's, I'd get some real lightweight 18 or 19's. That's just me.

I took my car in for those 2 recalls this morning and they had these wheels for sale in front of their parts dept. When I go back this afternoon, I'll ask how much they are selling them for. I imagine they'll be pretty expensive coming right from the dealer.

Sweeeet!

How is the ride compared to the stock set up?
Do you notice anything different because of the taller setup?

Bill

the ride seems to be similar to stock
no drastic change

My parts dept/tire guy quoted me $245 each for 17". He didn't look up 18" or 19" though, but I would imagine a little bit more.

At $245 per wheel for 17", he's wacking you in the head. Damn dude, I'll sell them to you in 19" for that.

The package Mike and I have is no "taller" than stock height. Just a little more wheel and a little less tire (sidewall), that's all. Like Mike said, the ride is barely different.

As I said earlier, I love them and plan to be a type yellow rep by this summer....as for those Eibachs, car looks "right" from your latest side view and Eibachs will be on my order form as well.

will these fit in 18s?

the site says they are 18x8 +40. I am really leaning towards these in hypreblack for my black RX8, what do you think? you cant go wrong with this wheel, in siver, chrome, or hyperblack.....wish someone local had it so i could see how the hyper looked ...oh well.

just checking fitment....what do you all think?

check out my post here, maybe you all can give me some advice....ive narrowed it down to 4 wheels at this point...
