Get off the curb and drive that thing dude!!....
Looks great...enjoy and congrats on finally getting to have it back..
XDEEDUBBX 03-03-2004, 11:18 AM nice bro..did you buy it stock with the kit?
mikeb 03-03-2004, 11:33 AM the winning blue looks amazing with the ms kit
but I'm with xero , you have balls parking it up on the curb.
I would be too scared of hurting the ms kit
ranger4277 03-03-2004, 11:35 AM Anthony,
I would love to see some up close shots around the oil coolers (particularly the foglamps and mesh around them) and some well lit shots of the rear bumper. (a few angles!) That would be great man. Your car looks awesome!
Thanks!
ender_okc 03-03-2004, 12:51 PM really looks good man!! I can't wait to do that to mine when I get it!! Have you gotten some good looks while you were driving it??
moRotorMotor 03-03-2004, 02:07 PM Awesome pics man, congratulations. I was just wondering one thing. Does Mazdaspeed bodykits come prepainted to match?

Bought the car stock, got a couple of the options. Bought the kit from Japanparts.com, got the dealership to fit.
So picked up the car with kit already fitted.

 its ok, the curb is not very steep so plenty of clearance.
Quite a bit of traffic goes down my road so wanted it off the road.

No problem, will take some as soon as I can get a chance.
One thing to remember is that the kit comes with one of the oil cooler vents blocked off. Not hard to change, just got unscrew the cover and remove, but if you leave it on, I hate to think what might happen.
Fog lamps is a custom fit, differs from the instructions. My bodyshop guy did it this way as it makes it look a lot cleaner and no cutting is involved.

Yes all pre-painted, apparantly done in the same place the cars are painted

Getting more looks than I thought possible :D :D
Best one so far, filling up with gas for the first time, watched a guy come out of the shop after paying. He was so busy looking at the car that he walked into the bonnet of his own car - LOL!!!! :D :D
He looked VERY embarrassed.

I've been to that area of the UK (Farnham) The roads are so damn tiny you have to drive on the curb. :D
success07 03-09-2004, 02:08 PM What exhaust did you go with? It doesn't look stock.

Yes, some more pictures of your friend's car would be nice. Is your friend's car also an RX8?

No not stock, it is the sports exhaust option that Mazda offer. Pleased with the sound over stock, but don't think there is any hp gain

Will do when I see him next. His car is a Seat Leon Cupra R. Seat is owned by VW, so it shares the same chasis as a Golf. Quick car though, well over 200bhp with turbo, only down side is that it is front wheel drive

Diamond Dave 04-02-2004, 10:14 AM Hello,
A couple of things really. The 'other' car you are seeing there, the platinum one, it is a SEAT LEON CUPRA R, sporting 225 horses under the bonnet and yes with FWD.
However, I'm toying with the idea for a few modifications in the next few months which will push the BHP up to 280 and the Torque should hit 300 lbs/ft. A touch nippy I think you'll agree!
Should cost around £600 / $1000. Not a bad increase for the cash.
I have plenty of pics if you 'guys' want to have a look at what a proper car is like, I think the only way of getting such class into the U S of A is to import such a beasty from Mexico, I think thats the most local place!
Anthony : A couple of things fella,
1. GAS. No, the correct term is Petrol, we are not in America, GAS would mean some sort of enviromentally friendly nonsense and I know your feeling on this.
2. GUY. As in your 'bodyshop guy', no, no no. Again another Americanism that we do not use in this context.
3. Remember that you are English, and therefore should be able to read and write at a reasonable level.
Ok, now thats over and done with, KEEP IT TIGHT GUYS! haha!
LightEmUp 04-02-2004, 02:45 PM I raced a yellow Cupra R when I was in germany. They're quick.
