Since my car has been in the shop for almost 2 months I was thinking to myself what was the longest I have ever had a car in the shop. I think it would have to be my old 1966 Mustang that was in the paint shop for 6 months, which was a restoration though. Shoot when I put an engine in the car it only took a weekend. What is the longest you have ever had your ride in the shop and explain what was being done to it to keep it there that long?

I had a '77 Plymouth Arrow that was in the shop for about six months getting an engine rebuild, around '80, IIRC. It was a one-man shop. I drove my RX-7 while waiting for the Plymouth.

The 8 has never been in the shop longer than an hour or two.
