View Full Version : Utah Members- March 13th 9:00 AM Dyno Day-
Landon_Starr 03-01-2004, 12:09 PM Hey everyone-
Some members of the SLC rotary forum have put together a dyno day at Modern Garage, 4677 S. Cherry St. (440 W.) Murray, UT.
There were only 10 slots available for dynoing, but I believe there may still be 1 slot available. Anyone who is interested in coming and seeing the dynos are more than welcome, and let me know if you're interested in dynoing. PM me for pricing, etc.
I've been working with Christian from Modern Garage on some RX8 modifications as well, namely performance packages, for the 8.
Some of the mods they have available are:
Exhaust, intake & drop in filters, etc.
They also have ECU mods on the horizon, and a lightened chromoly flywheel that should be available within the next few months.
Rx8fanatic31 03-11-2004, 01:50 PM Sounds cool, unfortunetly my 8 will be in for recall work :(
DragonStar4681 03-11-2004, 01:53 PM actually i posted the above reply. :D
Landon_Starr 03-12-2004, 02:27 AM Weird how existing members "become" new members occasionally. Hadn't heard from ya in a while, Dragon! You should come stop by anyway, I won't be dynoing, but a bunch of others will be. It'd be like a "mini-meet" so we can get to know all the other rotorheads in the area. :D
P.S. Let me know how the recall work goes...I need to schedule mine soon.

DragonStar4681 03-12-2004, 11:48 AM Hopefully the recalls go good. Im thinking about asking for the L flash also. plus the paint on my shifter know is starting to bubble alittle bit. I will let ya know
Omicron 03-12-2004, 01:01 PM Hey Dragon, did you ever get my PM about the RMRX8C's group buy? As I recall, you expressed some interest in getting in on this...
Landon_Starr 03-12-2004, 02:05 PM I haven't really considered any of the flashes. Have any of the dealer flashes leaned out the a/f mix at all? Or at least given better MPGs?

Landon_Starr 03-12-2004, 02:46 PM I just read the re-flash thread, interesting info. I had NO idea Mazda would eventually provide new fuel maps. That's cool. I talked to Damon(service manager) at D. Dahle Murray, he didn't seem to know anything about it, but he has faith in me that I know what I'm talkin about, so he brought over the rotary tech. We chatted a bit, and he's going to try to apply the "L" calibration on Monday. I'll keep y'all posted.

DragonStar4681 03-15-2004, 09:13 AM JERCS, good news i took my 8 in for the recalls and told them about the shifer. the guy took a quick look and said we will get you one ordered.
Other then that the rest of the recalls went great except they said they couldnt do the reflash :(
JERCS 03-15-2004, 11:30 AM I had my recalls done on Thursday, they went great. Didn't even think to ask for reflash or about my shifter. I'll check with them now though, thanks.
