It says I can check an 8's engine ever replaced by Mazda. but I looked around and couldn't find any way to check it out? Is there any website or online service provided by Mazda? or should I just call them?(if so which number should I call?)

BTW, additional question: Noticed lots of 8's has a"Engine: 1.3L R2 EFI". I suppose R2 means Renesis 2nd generation or rotary 2nd...is that more reliable than 1st generation? THX

You can get the VIN and call Mazda, I also think they put a sticker somewhere, I'm not sure though. 1.3L R2 = 1.3L 2 Rotor.

All remans come w/ a blue tag on the front cover w/ the build date and serial number stamped into the tag. This blue tag is always on upper drivers side of the front cover of the engine.
