Overport 02-29-2004, 03:03 PM does not matter...still considered a sports car....therefore sports car insurance comes with it.:) Texas 8 02-29-2004, 04:50 PM Originally posted by Doug McGill Jr. does not matter...still considered a sports car....therefore sports car insurance comes with it.:) On my policy USAA calls it a "coupe". Whether that's in the same classificaton as sports car is beyond me. Don't really care though, my rates are outstanding. md_guy 02-29-2004, 06:31 PM Originally posted by Doug McGill Jr. does not matter...still considered a sports car....therefore sports car insurance comes with it.:) Yup. I was quoted exactly the same rate for the RX-8 and the 350Z. Interestingly, the G35 was about 5% higher. Go figure. guy321 03-01-2004, 09:09 AM The insurance for my 8 is about 90 bucks higher for 6 months than my 2001 Alero which had 50k miles when I traded it in.. So I would say in general, insurance is not as high as your typical sports car. mikeb 03-01-2004, 03:22 PM mercury is my insurance they have it as 4 door coupe and its too expensive IMO Crichton 03-02-2004, 03:20 PM My monthly rate is only $15 higher than what I was paying for my 2000 Chevy Impala LS, which surprised me. bcrothers 03-03-2004, 11:24 AM I've got Statefarm and for my fully loaded 8 with MT and NAV I'm paying $50 more every 6 months than I did on my 2001 Dodge Ram pickup. I'm 48 so they "think" that I'm a safe and responsible driver. <SEG> Bob |
