Ok this is my first DIY post based off the LED mirror DIY from Alex posted here: http://www.rx8club.com/showthread.php?t=217041&highlight=mirror
http://www.puddlelights.com/manual/puddlelights.pdf

Tools/Parts needed not included in the link above:
1. 12 Nylon Flange Bearings which I got from Ace Hardware (they came white I painted them black)
2. Super Glue or epoxy
3. Dremmel or file
4. Razor Blade (to remove plastic burs)
5. Round file (to make minor adjustments to the holes)

Basically the install is the same as the DIY above except these steps:

1. Remove the upper shell of the mirror by pulling it strait back. There are three clips which hold it in so be careful not to break them.
2. Mark the location of the LEDs from inside the shell. (I did it this way to ensure the LED strip fit between the shell clips)
3. Next I used a drill bit index to measure the diameter of the nylon flange to select the proper size drill bit. (Mine were 13/64)
4. Then I drilled one hole at a time to ensure each LED would line up. If the LED was off a little I used a round file to adjust the hole.
5. Next place a small amount of glue around the outside of the hole (on the painted side of the shell) and insert your nylon flange. Don’t overdue the glue……
6. Next take a dremmel tool with a sanding bit or a file to remove the excess piece of the flange sticking out the inside side of the shell. Shave it down until it’s flush with the shell
7. Glue the LED strip using small dabs along the area of the strip where there is no LED (the spaces between the LEDs)
8. Run your wire and connect it as per the DIY link above.

It would look better if either:

The clips holding the LEDs were painted to match.

The clips were molded in...which would be a PITA!
