Thanx brothervoodoo 02-27-2004, 05:08 PM Don't you mean the EOS-3? Anyway, you should ask "Ophitoxaemia", he knows a bit about Canon SLR's. Reeko 02-27-2004, 05:19 PM I have the 10D. The 300 is a slightly cost reduced version of the 10 D (uses the same CCD and processor). Basically the 300D is the same as the 10D, except the body is plastic and a couple of the manual features are disabled. They are great cameras, (I have a friend that got the 300), I would recommend reading the reviews at www.dpreview.com RXhusker 02-27-2004, 05:30 PM I have that camera -- it is awesome -- in the US market it is called the EOS Digital Rebel rather than the EOS 300D. Vastly superior to the little digitals that have become so common -- best part is being able to use all the Canon lenses! Better have a good photo printer to take advantage of the quality -- I highly recommend the Epson Photo 2200. mazdaexe 02-27-2004, 06:20 PM Thanx people for the response. How about pricing? Anybody know where I can it the cheapest? :p It seems around $1000 is the standard price (with lens) It comes with a 18mm - 55mm lens. That means it can take some wide angle shots rite? Thanx Again RXHusker, it would be great if you could take some pics of ur 8 with the EOS Digital Rebel. ;) eccles 02-27-2004, 06:54 PM Originally posted by bong It comes with a 18mm - 55mm lens. That means it can take some wide angle shots rite?Yes, though not as wide as the numbers would initially suggest. The CCD is smaller than a regular 35mm frame, meaning that it has a narrower field of view for a given focal length, by a factor of about 1.6:1. So that lens is equivalent to about a 28-90mm on a 35mm camera - a pretty good range for general-purpose photography. I know several folks who have Digital Rebels now, and they all rave about them. Maybe next Christmas... :) |
