Ok. Just kidding. Everybody here has seen a Red RX-8. This one is different though.

I managed to get my wife in to test drive one and she loved it. Then the sales person offered us a great deal on it. I wanted to wait for an 05 and i wanted silver but the deal was too good to pass up.

After telling them I would take it, my wife backed down the next day when i was supposed to take delivery. So i spent the whole week pissed at her for getting my hopes up.

At my Birthday party Saturday night, she gives me my present. I unwrap it in front of everybody. It's a book about the RX8. I was really pissed now. A BOOK! First she yanks the rug out from under me, then she gives me a book about it. :|

Attached to the bottom of the book was a deposit receipt for the RX8 she made me cancel. It would be ready for pickup first thing the next day. She had planned the whole thing from the start.

Red, Red, I want red, there's no substitute for RED!!! I don't care what anyone says about their color, other than red, RED is the best look on an 8! IT gives it real VELOCITY! OK, so it doesn't give it any more HP but....

when I was picking it up they had a Mazda 3 in Solar Yellow that looks incredible. They should offer it on the 8. I liked it a lot better than the yellow they offer on the 8. Not that there is anything wrong with it, i just liked the solar yellow better.

But let me tell you all something. The Best Looking and Performing RX8 is in black.

Believe it or not, I have 2 Rotaries in my car. One rotary from Mazda and One Rotisserie where I can bake a chicken in while driving my RX8.

See? What'd I tell ya'll. Black RX8 rule. Even the black RX8 looks nice with the cheap .5 MP camera that I've got.

I'm even thinking about putting a cow in my RX8 like our friends from New Zealand.

All the colors looked good. It probably wouldn't hurt if they offered a few more. They are probably holding back for 05. I bet the Black Cherry color they offer on the Miata would look good on the 8.

My mom just emailed me to tell me she is sending me a zaino kit for my birthday to go with the car. She was in on the secret with my wife.

I'm always surprised at how a colour that looks great in photos can look even better in the flesh. I guess the camera just can’t pickup all the highlights.
