On the way back, both Mt. Hood and Mt. St. Helens were out with the sun shining on the new snow through the clouds. It was an awesome sight. If the weather cooperates, this will be a spectacular drive. 93rdcurrent 02-25-2004, 01:47 AM My MR2 club did that trip when I lived in Portland and it was beautiful. What a fun drive and getting to the visitor center and seeing how much had changed since I was a kid visiting my grandmother in Spokane and having it blow on us. I drove out to see it when they put the road in and there was nothing. It was very eery. Later we went back with the MR2 club and it was so different. maddox2351 02-26-2004, 10:03 PM Hello all, I want to go on one of these soooo baddddd. I was pleased when I originally read the rx 7 thread stating the 28th, but now it has been changed to the 27th. Oh well, next time. If for some reason it changes back I'll be there. I've got the annual boys poker game on the 27th and can't miss that! Or maybe......hmmmmmmm kristopher_d 02-26-2004, 10:09 PM Hmmmmm. Sitting around with friends pretending you are fooling one another and have a clue what the other guy's thinking, or REVING the HELL out of your rotary BEAST, SCREAMING down windy roads, BURNING more gas than a dog has fleas, and generally having a ball. Tough choice, I see your dilema. Just Drive It. Kathy Atkins 03-01-2004, 10:33 PM Hey go to the drive in the morning and do the poker in the evening, take your sweetheart and have fun. I plan on going with my red rx8 and the Rx7 group is a blast. kristopher_d 03-02-2004, 12:16 AM If you're coming, please, either register at RX7club.com and pm arpus, or pm me on this forum, and I'll PM Arpus. We're trying to keep a solid list of those who will be there. *edit: BTW, this is a rain or shine event. maddox2351 03-03-2004, 12:14 PM Thats an awesome idea Kathy. Would you mind posting the meet time and approx. how long the event will be? Last time I looked a time was not set, but that was some time ago. (or maybe I over looked it) Thanks. kristopher_d 03-09-2004, 10:33 PM copied from the RX7 club People Who Are Going !!! Or, does it not matter and it's up to me? I am not confirmed as going, but am leaning towards it greatly. The poker game with the guys isn't until 3pm so I should be able to do both, but my wife seems to think that we are doing something that weekend with the kids. I'll do my best to set her straight, or I won't be doing either. Will let you know for sure in the middle of next week. kristopher_d 03-18-2004, 11:41 PM Castle Rock would probably be best for you. no back tracking that way. |
