Ok which car would you choose within these?

Now, pick one from auto's and manual's. Just wondering which mazda this forum likes more.

Which car and why?

Between the two automatics I'd choose the 6. Between the two manuals the 8.

If you need the ease and convenience of an auto you might as well go all the way with four real doors, room for five, and a bigger trunk.

IMO, with the 6 sp manual the RX-8 is a sports car.

With the automatic I don't know what it is...

i definately agree with you here. if it were autos i'd go for the mazda6 and waste my dad's accord.. hhehehe...

but if it were stick shifting, i'd go with the 8, and waste my camaro....

Mazda is using the wrong JATCO transmission with the Mazda6 V6

The inline 4 should use the current JATCO five speed auto, and the manumatic gate should auto upshift from 1 to 2, run the rev limiter in second gear, and use the throttle limiter in second gear.
As it stands the Mazda V6 auto is SLOW compared to an Accord V6. But I would still want a 6 speed Rx-8.
