FYI: In the spring, usually in May there is a big Rx-7 (all Mazda's invited) meet in Ottawa that happens, and we usually get quite a few guys from Montreal that come down and join in. I will be going to this meet in the spring.
I'll keep everyone posted on detail as they become available.

Sure, why not? I heard there's a periodic "sporty-car-show-off-person's get together" at the huge parking lot by the Orange Julep thing (you know that huge Orange in front of the Belmont race track) off the 15, just south of the 40. A row of RX-8s would make an impact, and it would be fun to see you guys and your cars!

I will post here when I get more details on when this takes place.

 

Belmont racetrack? I call it blue bonnet still... :-) I have seen it many times on wednesdays during the summer when i went to the track watch my friend's horse race. The Oroange julep opens this week i think so maybe in a few weeks time when the roads are dryer we can arrange a meeting of shining RX-8 s

how does may 27th thurs at orange julep sound?
Allways some fresh whips there anyhow lets get some 8's out there as well. I will be there for sure.

Was there anyone there last night? I couldn't make it and the weather was, of course' not very good.

Mine was the only RX-8 (Titanium Gray) last night, and it got a few long looks and compliments. There were several other beautiful cars there. My 3 favorites were:

a sky blue 1964 Corvette Sting Ray
a white Sting Ray from the same period (1960's)
a glossy jet black Chevy Chevelle with a shiny, spotless 350HP engine

All of the above were so perfectly maintained or restored that they looked brand new, really amazing.

One of the guys there said that Wednesday evenings were more for antiques, and on Friday nights more "muscle cars" usually show up. I will check it out tomorrow night unless it rains (but again, rain is forecast).

I went there around 9PM on Friday, no interesting cars there that night. Next Wednesday let's do it, 7-8PM?

We had a good show of 3 RX-8's. I enjoyed meeting F1Michel and Murray - we'll do it again later in the summer, and again invite everybody in the area.
