In 7 years I've never had the spare tire and never really needed it (knock on wood). I'm going back to using the 8 as my daily driver and will be doing an awful lot of commuting between Austin and Houston.........so some stretches with nothing around! I think having a spare will put my mind at ease a bit! If anyone's got one they're willing to sell to me, let me know...thought I'd try to find a used one before I buy it new!! :)

How about GLWS and good luck with search? PS: I had the spare tire mount and it takes up the entire trunk. I'd suggest just finding a spare stock wheel and tire. Takes up almost the same amount of room anyways and might be cheaper.
