Well it has arrived and the dealer has fitted the kit. Done a superb job. Here are a couple of photos

I like it with the stock rims!

It does look decent with the stock wheels....but I still hate body kits.

Decided not to have the wing mirrors, did not like them at all, but did keep the front fog lamps. Really pleased with the over all result, some more pics to follow as requested, better ones will be next week when I collect from the dealer

Geffy - No objections to photoshops, interested myself
Anthony - the only mods other than those in my sig would be turbo/supercharger by Mazdaspeed when it becomes available
Ender - main dealer fitted the kit for me, I sourced it myself, japanparts.com, as was cheaper than what the dealer was asking
Neit - no it is not dropped, is the same as standard car

COST - approx $4,500 US

Why does the dealer still have it?? it looks done to me :) I bet its drivin you crazy that you cant drive it yet!! hehe The only improvement I could suggest is to tint the windows. but man that is one sweet ride!!!

The reason dealer still has it is because in the UK the new registrations come out in March, and I have requested a plate, so I cannot take delivery till then.
It is the slowest February of my life!!!!!!!

Damn that looks so tight. As much as I like going stealth, that is just too sharp. It looks not bad with the stock rims, but swap those out for some others and wow...

Are the oil coolers covered still? It looks like adding the fog light holders has made you loose the grill cover on the right and left...

the fog lights have kept the grill, so the coolers are still covered so no issues there.
tempted with rims, but to be honest really like the stock one, polished rims not very popular over here - don't have the weather to show them off

Anthony: Since you told us how much you paid for the kit and install, I had a small question. Did they give you, your original front bumper to you seeing as you sourced your own parts, or did they take off some of the price so they could have a spare in the shop? Just curious.

A guy in the UK is having blue inserts done for the leather seats, will see what that looks like as I am tempted with that.
But the next big thing will be if Mazdaspeed bring out a turbo or supercharger conversion. Would like a bit more power :D

Yes got all the parts back, so that is front bumper, rear fog light and rear lip spoiler.
The rear bumper does not come off, the Mazdaspeed part is an add on like the side skirts.
Still have not decided what to do with the parts, but selling is definitely an option as they are in mint condition as the car has not been driven yet.

Any offers? I don't think the rear lip spoiler is available in the States?

I'm surprised you haven't had anyone respond about the lip spoiler offer yet. They are a rare commodity over here.

Djmano - no probs about the cost, was VERY suprised no one has said anything yet.
One of the big costs was the carrier and insurance charge was around $1000 USD. The only Mazda dealer that does this kit in the UK was asking almost $9000 USD, so as a comparison I have saved ALOT of money. But yes it is expensive.

i think what people want to find out is if the spoiler and body kit affect the handeling or aerodynamics of the car tru grease heads like myself aren't always interested in bodykits b/c they look good spoilers and wings sometimes help handeling at high speeds. so has n e one noticed a difference i would also like ot know

KEEP THE FRONT BADGE OFF! TAKE OFF THE REAR BADGE! TAKE OFF THE BADGES ON MY CAR AS WELL!

how much typically would it cost just for installation of the kit? additional 500?!

Not being funny, but how long is a piece of string. Depends on who is fitting, what you are having fitted, to what standard etc.
I did not have the wing mirrors fitted and that add alot to the cost as very fiddly to do.
I believe it takes around 16-20 hours fitting time, so worth checking what the hourly rate is of your fitters.
