DUPLICATE POST TO SERIES I TECH GARAGE ...

Moved my RX-8 from driveway to garage and didn't let idle for 5 minutes, then rev engine (http://www.rx8club.com/showthread.php?t=213407#) before turning off. Result = flooded engine and tow to dealer.

I had spark plugs replaced from flooding 11,000 miles ago. They recommended changing the plugs today, but I passed at $254. Starting fine at the moment.

Two questions:
1) How critical is it for me to replace the plugs soon?
2) Anyone know a good independent garage in Southwest Ohio (Dayton/Cinci area) I can start using for post-warranty service?

if the car still starts and runs ok you dont need to change the plugs. also kings mazda does really good work. colletti motorsports in dayton does good work(so i am told) as does the sports car store down in florance. also GOOOOO DAYTON FLYERS!!!!!

The flooding and de-flooding can do a number on your plugs. It wouldn't hurt to change them. They're easy to do yourself, and you can get them for ~$80 for the 4 of them from some of the forum venders. Autozone usually has them in stock as well. If the old ones aren't terrible, clean them up and keep them as spares.
