I have one on my 8 that will very soon be getting sold, but it is a USDM

There is no physical difference between the USDM model and the European version. They are electrically identical, so you can get one anywhere - I suggest you get paulmasoner's since he is in Europe (or soon will be again, I presume).
Or you can buy a new one.

However, you need the PRO version of the software to tune it and there are, oh, lets say, exactly one person doing authorized European calibrations these days (despite some advertised claims by a particular Greek tuning shop).

Ok, let’s forget for a while the tuning and the Pro software. Let’s see the basics:

So If I get a USDM Access Port model WILL IT BE INSTALLED in my car that has EUROPEAN ECU ? I expect that USDM Access Port to have USDM firmware so not to be able to be installed in European ECU like my car

What do you think?

There are no "USDM" AccessPORTs.
They are all the same and the firmware contains information for the USDM, AUDM, JDM and EUDM models that are supported.

It is the calibrations that have to built for the specific model.

Ok this is understood. The firmware is not understood.

I will make an example just to help myself understand:

I get any accessport (i.e JDM or AUDM) and install it in my car which is European spec. Is this possible? If yes what is the role of firmware in this example?

Yes. It will recognize your car.
However, without a calibration file for your particular car, it won't do anything.

You MUST get someone who is an authorized Cobb e-Tuner to generate a calibration file for your vehicle.
