Since I have been having trouble with throwing CELs after installing a high-flow cat, I have been looking for an RX8 capable OBDII reader. Random Technology did not have one that would interface with the computer, so I cannot check to see if the code is actually a converter efficiency code. Does anyone in the Atlanta, Columbus, Knoxville, Birmingham area have a device that works on their car and would be willing to help me? Thanks
Aaron

My co-worker has one, but it turns out his program doesn't support the CAN protocol that our car uses. We had tried it previously when my car got the CEL. Apparently this CAN protocol isn't in wide use yet.

What dealer did you purchase your car from?

The new Snap-On should be able to read the protocol...Firestone has them but it's like $85 to have it read there...

Snap-On Modis is CAN enabled with the updates and the OTC Genysis/MAC Mentor is CAN enabled with updates and another of MAC's handheld scanners is CAN anabled with the propper updates.

I just got one from "Autoenginuity" yesterday and it does support CAN.
