One would assume of peak power is at 8,500rpm then redline would usually be 500-1,000rpm higher. I would be guessing 9,000rpm.

I too would say 9K to POSSIBLY 10K, but I seriously doubt we will see it any higher. I believe I read that if you put redline up too high, you will sacrifice low end power and drivability.

Raising the redline would mean you would need to make changes to move the power up in the rpm range but by doing this you loss low end power.

I dont think it will go over 9k but if it would be sweet to brag about a 10k rpm.

According to R&T, it will be between 8,5k & 9k rpm

Well, the may also say that for marketing purposes. A high redline scares many many people in the US. Only people who really like driving will ever use it to its full potential.

As for me, my '88 TII has a '7000rpm' redline...but 7500rpms is commonplace when taking off, and 8k is no stranger.

That's true. I have a friend who owns a Civic. When his dad rides with him, and he revs it to 6K+ RPM, his father says "You're gonna break the motor. There is NO reason you need to rev it over 4K"

He drives a company car Buick. Tells you enough right there ;)
