Hey guys I've been doing alittle research into headsets for radios because

1. The radios tend to get jostled and moved around while driving so you have to hunt for it to use it when you need it which is not good while driving. Mine is usually kept on my lap and I lost it several times yesterday. I do have the belt clip but I hate having to unclip something while driving. I did notice creto clip his to the top of his seatbelt, but I could never get mine to stay, and the audio quality wasnt very nice against my ear.
2. It can be hard to hear what the other person said because the radio is far away from my ears and there tends to be alot of background noise with our driving (aka me jamming out to music).

So basically what I am trying to do is get a wireless headset for the radio that will sit on my ear and that has a remote push to talk button (ptt)

But I'm alittle leary about purchasing it because the connectors dont match my model number exactly (I have a motorola talkabout EM1000R radio). I'm guessing that the M6 connector would work based on the model numbers listed. (http://www.headsetusa.com/downloads/charts/Connector_table.pdf)

So with that my question is basicaly if anyone had any other thoughts or knew of other products like this. Yes I know I can buy a simple wired headset for 20 bucks, but that doesnt really do what I want to. I don't mind spending 150 for the headset (which is tripple the price of the radio) but I do want a quality product that will work with my radios.

Yeah, finding motorola accessorys is easy, finding wireless ones is not.

So apparently the gear can be used with any blue tooth headset.

So after a little research I think this is what I am going to buy:

thats actually almost exactly what our secretaries use at work. They have them hooked into the main phone line so they can walk around collecting and passing out charts while still answering the phone.

It may have to do with the size of my shoulders, but also, the trick is to set it above where the shoulder strap contacts your shoulder. If I set it too low, it'll move, however, when I do set it in the right place, it stays put for the entire ride. It also makes it easy to hear quick bursts of conversation instead of always having to ask people to repeat themselves.

As for clarity, I am not sure that what you'll hear will be more clear, as some of it has to do with how the person on the other end is talking.

Yeah, that I know, but I usually like to roll with the windows down and the music up, so hearing the radio is difficult sometimes. I'm hoping that with a headset the sound will be a lot closer to my ear without comprising the other sounds.

Update:
I've had the Pro + for a few days now and have been loving it. The voice features, the battery display, the call quality, the ease of use, basically everything. Course in trying to aquire one I discovered that this was a recently released product and most online retailers were backordered. With the few that had it combined with shipping and tax it was as much as buying it retail, so I just went to Best Buy a few miles away and picked one up.

I got the Blucomm kit today, but unforantely I figured out that I picked the wrong adapter. They make several to fit many different brands/models of radios and sadly I chose poorly. I bought the m2 connecter which is a 3.5mm jack and I needed the 2.5mm m6 which has been incrediably hard to find. Sent the retailer an email so I may just return the whole kit if they dont have an m6 or just the dongle if I can find someone else that will let me order the m6 alone.

avcom is crap, david clarks are amazing, its the only headset I have ever used to fly with.

Ok I have documented proof that it wasn't me. After the first gas stop I gave the radio to Jen, she wasn't wearing the headset like I was and I think sat on the button. I don't think she realized what was going on till we stopped for lunch.
