Why not, it's no different than our progressive income tax system which I have mentioned in another thread:

Because we are talking about the USA. The land of equality. And since a lot of the people are pretty low on the equality scale, rather than raise them up, it's easier to lower everybody else.

Yes, I do find this absolutely silly, but it's still the way it is.

I wont touch your tax post though. I have my own opinions on that and I know you wont like them, so why argue?

Why ban doc? Because you do not agree with him? We should all be banned then. I see this section of the forum as just what it is doing. People openly discussing their opinions on issues not related to the RX-8. I feel if one does not like the issues do not visit this section of the forum. There are a few I stay away from.

Geesh. I just thought the article was humorous.

So did I so don't feel bad. I have a feeling that there is a way to reduce that fine on appeal since the article says "if it stands", but dear lord that's just idiotic. I don't know how anyone could possibly drive there with a straight face.

On another note, I like Doc. He seems like a pretty nice guy with a good sense of humor . . . and it allows me to ask "Sooo . . . what's up Doc?"

Thanks for the support.

You have to take all of that guy's comments with the realization that he is mentally ill. I hope he gets proper medical care so he can become a more functional member of society. I have an uneasy feeling that without it he will go off the edge, like the Unabomber or one of those postal workers.
