Hey, I'm looking at using the AEM FIC-6 to piggy back my wideband O2 sensor readings so I can put a midpipe in my rx8, wondering if anyone has any grief with the FIC-6, problems concerns, does it actually work on the 8's ecu (*evil thing it is*) ^_^ thx!

Why do you want this for a mid pipe install? This item from AEM is pointless on our cars.

The reason I want to do this is so I can keep the stock ecu (*for warranty*) and get rid of the CEL for my cat which is currently hollow... I just want to know if anyone has had success with this product

well, I've seen the accessport mentioned in MANY threads but what features does it offer in the way of custom setups, will I be able to tune the ecu myself or will I be stuck with predetermined setups.. does it come with a program to make your own tweaks to it's setups?

There is a tuning program that can be downloaded and installed in the AccessPort that allows an individual to do their own tuning.

hmm, well the accessport will be on its way shortly! hopefully with this I will be able to piggyback the stock ecu (*to maintain control of power steering and what not*) and it shouldn't fight back due to afr :P but I'll play around with it to see if an AP tuned ecu will still fight the piggyback if the maps don't mesh... just out of curiosity... and once this project is done there will be extensive details and pictures discribing the process on my other thread about MS3
