So a Kirby salesman and his manager came over to give us a free demo and cleaning for one of our rooms today. When they were talking about the cost to buy their cleaner, I told them that I was saving up to buy a new car this year.

They didn't know what the RX-8 was so I told them it was a car that had no pistons and they just looked at me with a blank stare... :D :p

I love to mistify people with the virtues of the rotary (I also like the blank stares aswell :)).

A friend of mine asked me how many cylinders it has. He knows it's a wankel, but he likes to give me a hard time about it anyway.

I told them it was going to have a triangle shaped thing that rotated to go through the 4 otto cycles. The guy that did the demonstration said that he heard about a futuristic engine like that but didn't know it was going into production so soon. :D He was surprised when I told him that past RX-7s had this "futuristic engine" :D

Opps, I mean now ... no, now. Sorry, I guess I'm traped in my past ...

;)

But hey, I'm still waiting for those flying cars (that Popular Science Magazine promised us back in the early 1960's) to be more afforable... that us down to earth type folks could buy.

:D

Edit: For those who don't know about the Moller "flying car" here's a link

Kirby... Kirby... don't those things look the same as they did in the 70's? I heard they might be redesigning them in the future...
