I'm thinking about getting a set of Roja Formula 7's for my car. Would it be a bad idea to get 19x8s for the front and 19x10s for the rear? I plan on selling my OEM's once winter is completely finished and using the Roja's during the spring/summer/fall seasons and getting 17's w/winter wheels or a beater car for the winter. Do you think getting a differnt size wheels would be more of a burden? Thanks in advance..

Here's a prior thread (http://www.rx8club.com/showthread.php?s=&threadid=18465&highlight=staggered) where we discuss the pros and cons of a staggered setup. Bottom line, IMHO, is that it degrades the handling balance, so I wouldn't go there.

I considered staggering as well, but decided against it. I went 19x8 front and rear. This car was built with matching front and rears, don't change that unless you plan making the necessary suspension changes to compensate and salvage your car's handling capabilities.

IMO a staggered setup for the 8 (what with 50/50 weight distribution and all) would only be necessary if it was making a LOT more power to the rear wheels. Personally, I would go balanced increase front and rear . . . either 235's or 245's if they will clear.
