Update: Not sure I've ever been this happy to be wrong.


The first phase of the new road is a DEAD END that terminates at the taxiway boundary of our use area. The Port was educated regarding the impact the NEXT PHASE of the planned road will have on BMP activities and stopped where they did because of our input. The next phase of the road will eventually follow the route of the taxiway to the south property line of the Port property. This will not happen until it gets the 4 plus million dollars of funding. We will continue to find ways to make use of any properties made available to BMP for motorsports use. It aint over until it's over. We plan on scheduling 2011 as usual.

So the story here is that until the $4million appears, BMP is safe which means it's safe for next season as well, as of right now, but we're edging ever closer to losing it.

GAH! what a shame. The bremerton drag strip was SOOO much better than pacific raceways.

So I brought this up at work, and a dude named Chuck Huffington who basically runs he club racing for the SCCA in our region is looking into this more. At minimum, from what I understand, this season's schedule still stands.

Updated the OP :D: Seems 2011 is safe as well, unless someone coughs up $4million to build the proposed Industrial park.
