For the rookies: This is a fun event where we explore some of the local country side and great roads that Texas has to offer. This is a spirited drive where we really find out what ‘Zoom Zoom” means.

Lol yeah, some of us literally did have a near death experience today! Surprised Brandon isn't actually giving me crap about it hehe.

So the story is I was right behind Scott and we were both pushing the cars really hard on this one turn. Scott hit's a dip in the road and tells me later he's like, "crap, we're going to fast on this road to be hitting this bump." Well I hit the dip, (initially I thought it was a reflector cuse I'm hugging the crap of the yellow lines at this point) and literally a split second later the entire right side of my car is in gravel and I am kickin up a dust cloud something fierce. It's hard to explain but it happened so fast I don't think I really had time to process how the hell my car got off the road. Well of course Scott sees this in his rear view and is like, "shit he's gonna end up in a pole, or a sign, or the field" and starts to freak out alittle. Meanwhile, Joe is behind me, and apparently he thinks’ I'm a gonner at this point. Luckily, I managed to get the car back on the road without losing or wiping out at speed. What's funny about the whole situation is that during this whole event, I had a new buddy with me to show him what we were all about, and he's like meh, I had confidence in your driving ability, while Scott and Joe both thought I was gonna die after driving with them for like the last two years.

Anyway, wouldn’t be a cruise without something crazy happening

Man, between you and Scott I think the whole Thomas being sideways is overstated a tad. Everything happened pretty fast, but I dont ever really recall "drifting" or being sideways when I got it back on the road. I do remember having the left front tire over double yellow on the way back in, but completely sideways at 70mph???? That would have been pretty damn hard for me to get back under control in such a short time peroid. I'm still kicking myself forever for my camera HDD filling up and not getting it on video. I still had all the hours and hours of state meet vids on it :(
