Hey guys my name is alex aka chubbz88 on the 6crew.com forums and the mazda3forums. for the past 2 years david of the 6crew and myself from the 3 group have been planning events for the mazda group as a whole. This will be our 3rd Official meet and we have never reached out to the rx8/rx7 crew to join us. So here is an invitation to you guys in the tulsa/okc area to come out and an enjoy a huge meet. We have Mazdaspeed 3s, 6s, proteges, miatas, we have even seen a couple cx7's. It is a lot of fun and it will be our biggest meet yet. So without further aidue let me copy and paste what david and I have come up with. The date is still TBA which will be said later on this evening BUT the plan is September 18th (On a sunday) Here are the details of both the 6 guys and the 3 guys. I am waiting for a call from david to organize what EXACTLY we will be doing but expect something along the lines of this

Tulsa guys will meet early monring 9am ish. We will wait at Dickinson Starworld 20 till 9:30am to make sure everyone gets there. From 9:30am we will cruise to OKC and meet with everyone off the highway at Bass Pro in the back. After a meet and greet david and I will discuss where we are going. Somewhere to eat will be the next place, we will be calling a hideaway or something to accomidate at least 50+ people (last time we had something of 68 people show up for this event) Next will be a lake hefner run where pictures can be taken. Lastly our famous route 66 cruise to Pops in arkadia, OK. (Halfway between tulsa and OKC)

The guys that live close to tulsa will follow me to okc and the guys that live in okc will meet up at bass pro. Again this is all cloudy on whats going on as I haven't spoken with david this morning but this should be a good idea on what to expect. So please get the word out we have almost 2 months to get this rolling for everyone so there should be no reason to miss! Start asking off work for those who work on sundays. The offical date will be posted this evening.

This could be interesting, we don't exactly have huge group here in Tulsa, but I wouldn't be surprised if a few show up, I'll probably go myself just see what its like.

Do you work at QT By nelson mazda? I work at nelson mazda, I have the mohawk I come in all the time.

Please come and get the word out! Our only requirement for ANYONE who comes is to be mature and respectful. With the crowd we draw we get a lot of attention, sometimes negative attention. I don't want people screwing around doing donuts or anything, they will be asked to leave. We can still have a great time, we always do. Lots of great people come out and support the mazda community and just all around have fun BS'n :)

Sorry it is the 19th not 18th it was a typo. Yes Sunday morning. We don't have a headcount yet. Next weekend I will be doing the head count so please let everyone know time is running out. I'll will make a list next week. I'm not sure we need anything camera of you want. Most will be cruise, lunch, lake, and lastly pops in Arcadia, OK. Next week will be the final adjustments on everything.

Looks like I wont be able to make it, with car being totaled and all.

@Chubbz88 I've worked at the store by Nelson a lot, but I'm not the guy with the silver one. Mine was Nordic Green with a vented carbon fiber hood, you probably saw it at least once when I brought it in. Thou its probably not gonna need an oil change ever again...

Oh and sorry it took so long to respond, my wreck happened about 4 hours after I made that post and I was unconscious for like the next 5 days and kinda forgot...

Hey guys I am terribly sorry for not keeping anyone up to date. I just updated the mazda 3 forums site. It has the official itinerary. I made a list on the 3 forums. We have a couple weeks before the meet. PLEASE help me out here I am making a head count list so I can call a few days in advance to make reservations.

Please also list if you are bringing any friends or family. Remember trying to keep this as close to all mazdas as possible so if someone is riding with you add them. Also list anyone who isn't apart of the forums to help get a closer number to how many I need to call ahead for.

I spoke to soon people, disregard that last message. I just talked to David and we might be hosting this in Tulsa due to more interest here than OKC. Let me sit down with him and talk and come up with the best solution possible. The hideaway thing wont work, they don't accept reservations. There is a sonic that does though, they took care of us before. So we may be changing to that, along with going to Tulsa.

Give me a couple days to figure things out since this is a last minute deal. Bare with me.

on the bright side.... if it does change to tulsa how about okc people meet at bass pro and roll into tulsa... bet that would be fun lol all mazda's rolling on the free ways sounds cool... but alot of gas... lol just saying

He hasn't posted anything on the mazda 3 site either. I think Jimmy emailed him but I'm not sure if he ever responded. It would be nice to know what is going on seeing as its now less then a week away.

Hey guys I still havent heard back from David. We where supposed to be in contact this past weekend. I called him this morning and left a message.

The meet is still on and it will still remain in OKC.

The Tulsa guys will meet at the same time at the same location

Here is all I can come up with until david contacts me and confirms our route and location.

Bass Pro meet and greet at 11:30-1:00pm.
We are not going to Hideaway as planned, they do not accept reservations. David will be contacting a sonic that is a short cruise a way that took care of us the last year and set out extra tables and chairs (we took up every single spot up in sonic) so hopefully he can call them today or tomorrow and let them know.

From there we will go up route 66 to the famous Pops in arcadia, OK.

Honestly from there I am not sure what else there is to do. I was thinking about getting the rest or remainder of people to go see a movie (The Town or Devil) in tulsa because we will be halfway back to Tulsa once we hit arcadia. With it being Sunday the movie theatre wont be packed so everyone should get a seat. PLEASE bare with me I am trying my best. I will post again tonight if david gets ahold of me but plans still go as follows.

Thanks for the update Chubbz. As for after the cruise down to Arcadia depending on what time we make it back to Tulsa I know some of the 8 guys are interested in trying to make it to the last bit of IFO which is also going on that day.

IFO ends at 6 PM, so there is a good chance we might not even make it back to Tulsa by then, it just depends how long the cruise lasts.

Iv got some bad news. I will not make this meet after all. Some personal things have come up and I wont be around. Even If I could make it I have not heard from David and sonic. I have know way of knowing if he has called them so I dont want to show up with 40 people and expect to take over. I apologize to anyone but if you all still want to meet up I encourage it, I just can't make this one :/

Well, sadly Jimmy had something come up and he wont be able to make it which in turn means I wont be there because I can't drive yet and haven't gotten a new car lol. Hopefully if anyone does show up you guys have a good time.

Well I take that back, Jimmy just called me and he still wants to go meet at starworld in the morning and see if anyone else is around. So, this may still go down without a leader and if it doesn't we may find something else to do in Tulsa, just have to wait and see I guess.

Edit: I also made a post on the Mazda3 site to let them know a few of us may still show up, and looks like a few of them are going to be at bass pro in OKC at the meeting time. Just gotta wait and see I guess.
