well i got my 1:18 Autoart black RX-8 today...to my surprise when i get home from work, there's also the free 1:43 scale Autoart black RX-8 from Mazda, MazdaSport Magazine (which i never subscribed to or even heard about), and...drum roll please...Canzoomer's Stage 1!!! surprising way to end the day i figured...

well of course first thing i do is drop everything and go to install Canzoomer's Stage 1...unfortunately my unit didn't work since a wire was loose and i didn't have a soldering iron to weld it back...i must say though that Maurice is one pleasant gentleman to do business with! i called the phone number that was on the invoice expecting an answering machine but what i got was something that seemed like his house number since a lady answered! he got on the phone right away, tried some troubleshooting with me and he figured out that a wire in the unit was loose...he even offered to walk me through fixing it myself but like i said i didn't have a soldering iron on me...well i'm sending it back in, postage paid to Canada and hopefully i get it back next week...

so the day didn't end quite as spectacular as i would've hoped but i figure it's God's way of saying, "don't speed tonight, you're going to get a ticket!"

PS - props to Canzoomer for a great looking product, great instructions, and EXCELLENT customer service!

did you preorder your 8? i'm wondering if i'm going to get a 1:43 scale autoart 8 too.

yes i did...i got the hardcover book, the coffee mug, the touch up paint, and now the 1:43 scale...i figured they stop after i decided to keep the car after the buyback but the gifts keep coming!

btw, the Autoart 1:43 model comes with a certificate that has your name on it! very nice indeed...

i did not preorder but i did receive the touch up paint. the sales manager gave me his copy of the hardcover book. i don't expect the 1:43 scale 8.

i want the model.. hopefully they dont put the name on it.. since the car is registered under my pops name and of course they spelt it wrong!!!!! on evertyhing except the finance/registration papers

sorry for making it sound more than what it is...it's just a sheet of paper folded up in half...the bottom half looks remotely like a certificate with a metallic rotary shaped RX-8 sticker and the owner's name on it followed by the car color...not a big deal but at least it's somewhat customized!

btw, i don't know if the regular retail AutoArt 1:43 models come like this but mine came in a nice thick plastic enclosed display case...my 1:18 did not...

The model is SUPER nice, and well worth the ~$43 it costs on eBay...
