Im looking for a slightly improved stance retaining most of the stock characteristics (including being able to make it over bumps). I know im not in the most rural area (Los Angeles) but my daily routes involve a plethora of speed bumps which id like to be able to go over at a comfortable pace (not a full stop). So my question is, what are some good springs, that lower my car the least amount? (Preferable a little less than an inch)

hmmmm sprint makes these...i think they are a 2 inch drop...also, if you plan on changing out the springs you might as well do the shocks as well...i believe koni. as well as tein has full suspension set ups for your 8.....

Mazdaspeed springs only drop your car 20mm (.79 inch) and can be had for around $240 I think from some of the vendors on this board.

Sorry, i meant with the least amount of drop, not the "lowest", i should have been more specific. Anyways, i take it the Mazdaspeed have the most subtle drop? They probably dont even void any kind of warranty in addition because they are made by mazda which is good.

If i go with a 19x 9.5, 19 x 8.5 staggered setup and get the mazdaspeed springs, do you think i will have a rubbing problem?

Keep in mind though, at 19", with 35 series or less tires, you're not going to have much "rim" protection. And you being in LA, you gotta watch those damn pot holes. One hard bump, and you'll be spending $150 to fix the rims.

im thinking 10.5 staggered rear (racing harts)
but drop it 1st before installing wheels.
p.s im not a fan of sprint suspension
